  • It’s a great day to get outside and cheer on the Knights.

  • Baseball and Softball both host Princeton today at 4:30.

  • Boys Tennis is at home vs Becker starting at 4:00.

  • The Open Spaces Dress Code Dialogue for 7th and 8th graders will be taking place during SEL today. Please head to the cafeteria to attend.

  • Attention 5th and 6th graders; would you like to have more options for after school activities at East? We need to hear your ideas. Next Tuesday, May 18th during SEL, Mrs. Schleicher and Heidi Dehmer from STMA Community Education will hold a meeting in the cafeteria to discuss what you would like to see added at MSE. Please let your SEL teacher know if you would like to attend or use the google form in your attendance Google Classroom.

  • Attention 7th Graders.  Those of you who have been chosen for WEB will be invited to a Google Classroom.  Please join it as soon as you can.  New 7th grade WEB leaders will have Play Day on Friday, May 14th during 5th hour.  Make sure to let your 5th hour teacher know that you will be absent during 5th hour, get any homework you need, and meet your WEB Coordinators in the cafeteria. If you have a device, please bring it with you.

  • Attention 8th Graders: If you are interested in being in Student Council as a 9th grader, please complete the application in the 8th grade attendance Google Classroom. Even if you weren't in Student Council in Middle School, you can still apply. If you are currently in Student Council as an 8th grader, you still need to apply. Applications are due by the end of the school day on Friday, May 14th. See Mrs. Gritti or Mrs. Lindquist with questions.

  • Chromebook Turn in is Just Around the Corner. Students not in distance learning who have a school Chromebook checked out - it's almost time to turn them in! They will be turned in during your social studies class on the following dates:

  • Grade 5 Tuesday May 18th

  • Grade 6 Friday May 21st

  • Grade 8 Tuesday May 25th

  • Grade 7 Friday May 28th

  • When returning them you will have to power them on, so have them charged and ready to go. You also need to turn in the cord, so make sure you have it along.

  • 8th grade students interested in taking a Driver Education class this summer should register online at: Choose one of two July class options. Dates and times: July 12-23 (M-F)  9:00am-12pm or 12:30pm-3:30pm. Full details online.

  • If you are celebrating Ramadan and would like an alternative seat during the lunch period, please see a counselor or Mrs. Buskey in the office. We have other options for students during this time period!

Congratulations to this week’s Knights’ Honor Winners!

5th grader, Kendall T. demonstrated Respect. Mrs. Barten had this to say about her: Kendall worked extra hard to make sure that she had everything covered for class that she was going to miss.  She was very responsible and completed all of her work.  Kendall is always so kind and respectful to everyone around her and continually makes MSE a better place!

6th grader, Matthew C. demonstrated Citizenship. Mrs. Mesna had this to say about him: Matthew helped Mrs. Mesna pick up playground balls at recess! He went above and beyond to pick up equipment that had blown away in the wind. Thanks Matthew!

7th grader, Lindsey D. demonstrated Citizenship. Mr. Huggins had this to say about her: Lindsey is always respectful, polite, and responsible.

8th grader, Mukandas A. demonstrated Citizenship. Mrs. Luehrs had this to say about him: Mukandas always offered to move my cart for me when teachers had to move rooms. I appreciated his helpfulness without being asked!

  • A teams eat lunch first and will be out back today. B teams eat lunch second and will be out front today.

  • The hot lunch option is Italian meat sauce, penne pasta, green beans, breadstick and applesauce. The cold lunch option is chicken ranch salad, dinner roll and applesauce.

Have a great day!
