Monday, October 12
Good morning!! It’s Monday, October 12th, and it is a Blue Day.
Extracurricular Choirs are starting soon at Middle School East. Knightengals is a 5-8 choir for girls, and King Arthur's Court is a 5-8 choir for boys. These groups will meet in person 8:20-8:50 am Monday mornings for Blue day students starting October 19th and Thursday mornings for Gold day students starting October 22nd. Your parents can get you registered through their ParentVue account. Talk to Ms. Trump and Mr. Pothen to learn more. Flyer
Students and staff chose this year’s yearbook cover and title. Now you can do even more! You can buy your yearbook by going to the MSE main page, and you can be part of creating the content for the yearbook as well. All meetings will be held virtually, and all are welcome.
The Blue Girls Tennis Team had their second match of the season on Tuesday. Doubles partners Megan B. and Kayla B. won their match in a second set tie break 6-3, 6-6, 7-4. Doubles partners Lyla C. and Maddie H. tied double partners Layla F. and Reagen C. 6-1, 6-6, 5-7. They will finish their match on Monday.
An overdue congratulations goes out to Lily V., Maddie T., and Addy T. on a smashing swim season so far! These three ladies have been competing on the high school varsity team since August. Lily is a returning swimmer to the high school team, and Maddie and Addy have been a great addition to the team this year! All three have been racking up varsity points, dropping time in their races, and we are excited to announce that all three have made our section team and will be competing at that on October 24th. Good luck to these swimmers as they face the Eden Prairie Eagle tonight at home!
This week's school schedule has been adjusted. Blue day students are in person today, and will be in distance learning Tuesday and Wednesday. There is no school on Thursday and Friday this week.
Attention 5th Graders! If you are interested in being a part of Student Council this school year, applications will be available on Monday, October 19th. The online application will be posted in your Science Google Classrooms. Please fill this application out by Friday, October 23rd. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Lindquist or Mrs. Gritti.
Today’s lunch hot option is cheesy french bread, and the cold option is a deli turkey sub.
It’s wet out today, so we will be out front for recess today.
Have a great day!
