Good morning!!  It’s Thursday, February 20th.  It is DAY 3


Recess is indoors today and tomorrow due to temperature and air quality.

Please return any ICE PACKS you may have in your locker or classrooms to the Health Office ASAP!!  Thank you!!

The MATHCOUNTS team placed 2nd in the Chapter competition at St. Cloud State and will compete in the State MATHCOUNTS Competition in March!!

Attention all 8th Grade Girls soccer players:  There will be a GIRLS HS soccer informational meeting for players and parents TONIGHT Thursday, February 20th at 6pm in the MSW cafeteria.  We hope to see you there! Any questions please contact Coach Megan Johnson.

Attention 8th graders:  The Color Guard is looking for students for our 2020 parade season. See Mr. Jordheim for a flier and more information. Practices begin in the high school Activities gym March 2, 2020.

Are you interested in or want to learn more about theater? Drama Club will meet Mondays after school right here at Middle School East from 3:30-4:45! Sign up through Community Education. 

Do you have a passion for writing? Writers Club is a safe place for students who are passionate about writing and want to try new types of writing styles.  Writers Club is meeting now until March 23rd. Sign up through Community Ed.  Please note:  Writer's Club for Monday, February 24 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 26.

Winter Week will be Monday, February 17th - Friday, February 21st. The 8th grade Activity night will be at MSW from 7pm-9pm on Friday, February 21st. The Student Council will be selling tickets at the concession stand from 8-8:25am TODAY -Friday. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door.   Dress Up Days:  Thursday: Funky Sock Day, Friday: Knights Spirit Day.  Lunch supervisors will be selecting a few students from each grade level who put a lot of thought, effort, and creativity into their outfits. If you are selected, you will get to pick a prize!!

Sports Report:  

The boys basketball teams have practice today. 

Registration for the following middle school Spring activities is now open in FeePay for students in 7th and 8th grade.  Baseball, Golf, Softball, Boys Tennis, and Track & Field.

The following programs are for 7th through 12th graders and run through the high school. Registration is also on FeePay:  Girls Lacrosse and Adaptive Bowling and Softball.

There will be a spring sports informational meeting on Tuesday, March 17th from 3:15 to 3:45pm.  If you are planning to play a Spring sport, you should plan to attend this meeting. Parents are welcome, but not expected to come.

Middle school Spring sports start on Monday March 30th. High school programs start sooner.
