Good morning, it is Tuesday Oct 8th. It is Day #2.
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. Your mental health tip of the day: use positive self-talk. If you are feeling worried, sad, angry, or just having a bad day try talking to yourself in a way that you would talk to a friend if they were having a bad day. Treat yourself well and focus on the things in life that make you feel GOOD! Remember to wear GREEN on Thursday!
Voting for 5th grade Student Council will take place TODAY October 7th, through Wednesday, October 9th. 5th graders should use KORT or Academic Seminar time to vote. You can vote by going to the Student Council website. Good luck to all of the candidates!
On THIS Friday, October 11th, the 5th graders will have their October Morning Meeting in the gym. The WEB leaders are excited to see them again! Please check in with your KORT 1st for attendance.
Students: Thinking of becoming a Knight Swimmer? There will be a Pre-Season Knights Boys Swim Course THIS Saturday October 12th from 1-3 pm in the MSE Pool. The cost is $15. You can register by emailing Coach Kelli Nadeauke4@gmail.com
All students in grades 5-8 are invited to sign up for Art Club with Mrs. Iverson that starts Wednesday October 30th. Sign up on the Community Ed website and join other creative students like you!
STMA Debate is just getting started and it's not too late to join! Practice is Monday through Thursday 3:30-4:30 PM with debates occurring on Saturdays. If you'd like more information or are ready to join the team, please come to a practice or contact Coach Howden at email@example.com. Your parents can sign you up through FeePay which is in ParentVue.

The girls swim/dive team took on the Buffalo Bison last night. STMA was down by 6 with 3 events left. Rose S., Samantha C., and Callie L. placed in the 100 Backstroke, and Sydney G., Kat R., and Ari M. placed in the 100 Breaststroke. STMA was only down by 2 going into the last event. The relay team of Sadie A., Isabel B., Kat R., and Sydney G. took first place, tying the score. The relay team of Emma D., Kaydince P., Emma M., and Elliot R. placed 2nd and brought STMA to victory over the Bison with a final score of 94 to 86!! Awesome work!!
Eighth Grade Girls Volleyball defeated Big Lake last night with some grit and determination on the court, with the following winning scores: 25/22, 26/24, 25/19. Gabby D. and Leyla C. served from the line with 100%, earning 14 points together. Ava D. showed off her soft hands with some beautiful sets to Lilly F. and Addy M. in the front row!
The 8th grade A volleyball team hosted Big Lake last night and came out victorious with 3 big wins: 25 - 12, 25 - 9, 25 - 13. A slow start to the evening ended with strong play by all. Breanna W. and Natalie P. had great serving, Natalie K. and Ruby S. played great defense, and Chloe P. and Kaylie C. had some great hits on offense. Way to go girls.
The 7th grade football team is hosting Isanti here at MSE at 4:30. The 8th grade football team is traveling to Isanti. Your bus leaves at 3:20 after school.
