Good morning, it is Monday October 7th. It is Day #1. 

 

Activities

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week.  Today’s mental health tip is to take care of yourself! Do your very best to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night, eat healthy foods that give you energy, and get exercise on a regular basis! Doing these things will help keep your body and mind healthy. Remember to wear GREEN on Thursday!

The 6th Annual Kindness in Chalk event is TODAY! Thanks to the KORTs that participated and spread some kindness!  If you didn't get a chance to participate, no worries! You can spread some kindness around your neighborhood tonight, share a kind word with others today, or even commit a random act of kindness. As Aesop says, "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."

Voting for 5th grade Student Council will take place TODAY October 7th, through Wednesday, October 9th. 5th graders should use KORT or Academic Seminar time to vote. You can vote by going to the Student Council website. Good luck to all of the candidates!   

Attention students:  Thinking of becoming a Knight Swimmer?  There will be a Pre-Season Knights Boys Swim Course on Saturday October 12th from 1-3 pm in the MSE Pool.  The cost is $15. You can register by emailing Coach Kelli Nadeauke4@gmail.com 

All students in grades 5-8 are invited to sign up for Art Club with Mrs. Iverson that starts Wednesday October 30th.  Sign up on the Community Ed website and join other creative students like you!

STMA Debate is just getting started and it's not too late to join! Practice is Monday through Thursday 3:30-4:30 PM with debates occurring on Saturdays. If you'd like more information or are ready to join the team, please come to a practice or contact Coach Howden at ashleyh@mystma.org. Your parents can sign you up through FeePay which is in ParentVue.

The Writer’s Club is on Mondays from Oct 21 to Dec 16 from 3:15-4:15 pm. Talk to Mrs. Lyke for more information.Sign up for Writers Club on the STMA Community Education website.

Apple earbuds found in the 8th grade pod. Claim in the office.

Religious medal found in the Phy Ed hallway.  Claim in the office. 

A gold and crystal charm with 2 swans on it was found.  Please claim in the office.  

SPORTS REPORT:  

MSE Volleyball teams, both the 7th and 8th grade teams play at home vs. Big Lake today at 3:45.

Girls Tennis team, you play at Buffalo at 4:15 today. Your bus leaves at 3:20 after school.

Girls Swim and Dive team, you have your final meet of the year vs Buffalo right here at MSE today at 5:00.
