Good morning, it is Friday October 4th. It is Day #3.
Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week. Each day next week you will hear a mental health tip on the announcements. On Thursday, October 10th, students and staff will be wearing GREEN to support anyone who has been impacted by a mental health disorder at any point in their life! Go all out and get decked out! Wear GREEN!
Attention 5th Graders: If you are interested in applying to be on Student Council for the 2019/2020 school year, please get an application from the front office. You will need to complete the application and turn it into Mrs. Gritti or Mrs. Lindquist TODAY, October 4th. Elections will take place next Monday - Wednesday. Please see Mrs. Gritti or Mrs. Lindquist if you have any questions.
Attention students: Thinking of becoming a Knight Swimmer? There will be a Pre-Season Knights Boys Swim Course on Saturday October 12th from 1-3 pm in the MSE Pool. The cost is $15. You can register by emailing Coach Kelli Nadeauke4@gmail.com
All students in grades 5-8 are invited to sign up for Art Club with Mrs. Iverson that starts Wednesday October 30th. Sign up on the Community Ed website and join other creative students like you!
Do you like singing? If so, consider joining King Arthur's Court or Knightengals! King Arthur's Court is open to any male students in grades 5-8 and is run by Mr. Pothen. Knightengals is open to any female students in grades 5-8 and is run by Ms. Trump. No auditions required for these groups! And you don't even have to be in choir! If you have any questions, see Mr. Pothen or Ms. Trump in the Choir Room.
STMA Debate is just getting started and it's not too late to join! Practice is Monday through Thursday 3:30-4:30 PM with debates occurring on Saturdays. If you'd like more information or are ready to join the team, please come to a practice or contact Coach Howden at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your parents can sign you up through FeePay which is in ParentVue.

Congratulations to 7th graders Hailey R. and Lily V. on their fantastic swims last night against Buffalo! Both ladies helped lead the Medley Relay to an out of touch victory against the Buffalo A relay. Hailey dropped nearly 2 seconds in her 200 freestyle and came back from behind to out touch the buffalo swimmer and take an exciting first place! It was quite the race! Hailey also took second place in the 100 breastroke. Lily V. fought three Buffalo swimmers for the second place finish in the 100 backstroke and dropped a second of her season best! Lily also took third place in the 200 IM. Both ladies contributed in a HUGE part in STMA's victory over Buffalo!! GO BLUE!
Cross Country: Congrats to Anthony A., Jake G. and Jackson B.. These 3 were on the winning team at the STMA Intersquad cross country meet yesterday. Anthony finished 3rd, Max S. got 4th and Dawsen W. got 5th overall.
In the girls race, the winning team included Fae B. and Kelsey C. Top individual finishers were Elise L. and Breanna I.
Girls 8th Grade B Volleyball dominated the 'border battle' with Monticello last night, winning 5/6 games. Energy was HIGH, Serves were unreturnable, and overall teamwork was stellar. Come see the girls play their last home game of the season on Monday against Big Lake!
The 8th grade A volleyball team took 4 out of 6 games from Monticello last night. The girls played well with good serving, defense, and some good offensive plays. Scores were as follows: 25 - 21, 25 - 20, 25 - 16, 26 - 24, 25 - 27, 18 - 25. Nice job girls.
Congratulations to the 7th grade B volleyball team on their win over Monticello last night! The Lady nights are undefeated for the season so far! Keep up the great job ladies!
The 8th grade A football team played another close game, losing to Princeton Thursday 6 - 0. Riley H. ran the ball hard after contact several times. Andres E. had several tackles for a loss, including nearly forcing a safety. Noah D., Zach Z., and Will B. also made key tackles.
The girls' soccer A team defeated Princeton 8-0 last night. Maggie K. and Jenae M. each had two goals. Marie M., Debra N., Izzy A. and Olivia S. each added one.
The girls' soccer B team also defeated Princeton last night 1-0 with a goal by Meredith M. S. out to Tabby C for her awesome defense! Way to go, girls!
