Good morning, it is FRIDAY..whoop whoop!! September 27th. It is Day #1. 

Today’s Knight Honor drawing has been delayed until Monday. Keep doing great things in our school!

This is the last day of homecoming dress up days at MSE! Thank you for showing your school spirit by participating in the different dress-up days. Remember that the school dress code still applies, which can be found on Page 3 of your student handbook.  TODAY is Spirit Day -Thank you for representing STMA in blue and gold!  Students who put a lot of thought, effort, and creativity into their dress-up day outfits will be eligible for a prize, and you may also be featured in the MSE yearbook!


TONIGHT there will be a STMA HOMECOMING TAILGATE EVENT:  Friday, September 27 - 4:30-6:30 at the High School - All purpose Stadium.  The event includes BBQ for everyone! They will also have games, face painting, free apparel, etc.  So please come with your parents or guardians to this GREAT family event!!

Attention students:  Thinking of becoming a Knight Swimmer?  There will be a Pre-Season Knights Boys Swim Course on Saturday October 12th from 1-3 pm in the MSE Pool.  The cost is $15. You can register by emailing Coach Kelli 

All students in grades 5-8 are invited to sign up for Art Club with Mrs. Iverson that starts Wednesday October 30th.  Sign up on the Community Ed website and join other creative students like you!

Attention, yearbook staff! The rescheduled Yearbook meeting will be next Wednesday, October 2nd from 3:10 to 4:00 in Ms. Kelm’s room.  

Do you like singing? If so, consider joining King Arthur's Court or Knightengals! King Arthur's Court is open to any male students in grades 5-8 and is run by Mr. Pothen. Knightengals is open to any female students in grades 5-8 and is run by Ms. Trump. No auditions required for these groups! And you don't even have to be in choir! Rehearsals already start next Wednesday, September 25th. If you have any questions, see Mr. Pothen or Ms. Trump in the Choir Room.

STMA Debate is just getting started and it's not too late to join! Practice is Monday through Thursday 3:30-4:30 PM with debates occurring on Saturdays. If you'd like more information or are ready to join the team, please come to a practice or contact Coach Howden at Your parents can sign you up through FeePay which is in ParentVue.

The Writer’s Club is on Mondays from Oct 21 to Dec 16 from 3:15-4:15 pm. Talk to Mrs. Lyke for more information.Sign up for Writers Club on the STMA Community Education website.

Pre-Season Knights Boys Swim Course  Thinking of becoming a Knight Swimmer?  Saturday October 12 th from 1-3 pm in the MSE Pool.  This course is for any 6-8 th grade boy on the Knights Boys Swim and Dive Team or anyone interested in joining the team in the coming years!
What this course includes:
 2 hours of technique coaching on all 4 of the competitive
strokes along with learning starts and turns.
 One-on-one coaching in a group setting with current varsity
swimmers. Kids will have a chance to learn from their future
teammates who have already accomplished big goals.
 Within the 2 hour pool session 1 of the hours will be a
meeting between the parents and the varsity coaches where
parents will have a chance to ask questions about the
The cost of the 2 hour pre-season course will be $15 a person. All
the proceeds will go back into the Knights Swim and Dive
program which will be used towards swim equipment and team
bonding activities.

The Girls' soccer A team defeated Monticello on Thursday, 2-1. Maggie K. and Sophie M. scored for the Knights with assists from Jenae M. and Debra N.. Katie S., Claira W., and Ava M. held the defensive position on the back line. 

The Girls' soccer B team also defeated Monticello on Thursday, 5-3 with goals by Avery L, M., Brooklyn A and two goals by Darci T. assists by Brooklyn A, Meredith M and Avery L. Way to go, girls!

The STMA Middle School Girls Tennis Team hosted the Princeton Tigers last night. Partners Alyssa K. and Bree J. played a tough net game earning them a 6-2 win. Partners Layla F. and Maddie H. stayed strong through the longest match of the night earning them a 6-5 win. The Knights travel up to Cambridge-Isanti on Monday.

Last night Eighth grade B girls volleyball team dominated Becker with 3 consecutive wins, holding them at 16, 22, and 18 points.  Lilly F. had 4 stellar hits at the net and Leyla C. showed extreme hustle going for the ball to save several plays.  Overall, the girls were 83% at the serving line - STELLAR job girls!  

The 8th grade A football team lost a close game to West on Thursday 14-8.  After missing time due to injury Noah B. started the game with a bang on a 40 yard kickoff return.  Noah M. had two interceptions, one of which was a touchdown saving play in the end zone. Andrew V. had a sack.  Will B. played a great game at quarterback, linebacker, and cornerback.

The girls cross country team finished in 2nd place out of 7 teams yesterday.  Elise L. was the top finisher, coming in 11th out of 148 runners. Other girls who finished well included Breanna I., Leah H. and Fae B.

The boys team finished in 3rd and were led by Carter A.'s 4th place finish.  Gavin E. (15th), Max S. (21st) and Anthony A. also ran very well.

The girls 7A volleyball team swept Becker 3 matches to none. Leading the team to victory behind the serving line was Abby H., Anna T., and Becca O. Great assists by Leah S. and Kayla W. The entire team worked together to defeat the Bulldogs with great teamwork and positive attitudes! Way to go Lady Knights. 

Congratulations to the 7th grade B volleyball team on their win over Becker last night! Every girl on the team contributed to the win! Maggie B., Brooke V., Emma W., and Olivia G. with their awesome serving. Madi E., Sophia S., Ellie M., Grace K., and Tianna C. with their great defense!
