Good morning, it is Wednesday, September 25th. It is Day #2.

This week is homecoming at MSE! Please show your school spirit by participating in the different dress-up days. Remember that the school dress code still applies, which can be found on Page 3 of your student handbook.  TODAY is Jersey Day - Wear a jersey or shirt that represents your favorite sports team! Seventh graders, please remember that this is also River Day, so dress comfortably.  Thursday is Decade Day - Wear a traditional outfit from your favorite decade!  Friday is Spirit Day - Come to school representing STMA in blue and gold!  Students who put a lot of thought, effort, and creativity into their dress-up day outfits will be eligible for a prize, and you may also be featured in the MSE yearbook!

The Coaches Association is putting on our annual Homecoming tailgate this Friday from 4:30-6:30 outside the stadium at the High School! We are very excited for this event as it is a great fundraiser for our Coaches Association and is an excellent way to get community members together before the big Homecoming gave vs Edina.

Sports

Congratulations to Ashley M. placing 1st at her Double Point BMX Race!  Nice job!!

Congratulations to the 7th grade B Volleyball team on their win over Big Lake last night!

The Volleyball girls defeated Big Lake last night in 2 out of 3 games.  Cassy B. steadied her feet for some spot-on passes and Ava D. maintained strong, consistent and reliable skills around the court!  Great teamwork girls!

The 8th grade A football team won a close, hard fought game 8 - 0 against Monticello on the varsity field Tuesday. The line really turned things around from last week's game, controlling play from the start. Andrew A. (Taco) and Reid P. each had several big blocks, setting up several large gains, but the entire offensive line saved their best blocking for a 15 yard pass to Noah D. and a 45 yard pass play from Will B. to Tevin V. for the only touchdown of the game.  Then the defensive line, led by Andrew V., Andres E., Jackson B., and Devon D., came alive with several quarterback sacks to hold the lead as Monticello had one last chance to even the score.
