The Knights Choir received a Superior, the highest rating, at our Trills and Thrills Music Festival last Friday. We are very proud of this achievement, earned through a lot of hard work.
The 8th Grade softball teams finished their season Tuesday. Anika R. pitched a perfect game and Emily M. hit a grand slam home run in a 15-0 win. The A team finished the season undefeated. The B team won 10-8. The highlight of that game was Emma B. picking off a runner at 3rd base.
7th Grade Softball played their final game last night against Princeton. Team A won their game 12-1. Sidney P. started the game off with a home run. Taylor T. hit a triple that helped score a run while Ella M. stole second base. Heidi F. not only crushed it with her pitching, but also cranked a triple out towards center. Isabelle B. had a nice foul ball catch while Mckenna helped wrap up the game with a home run. Team B won 8-7 thanks to Ashley S.'s pitching and great defense. Annika C. had a great double that helped bring in a runner. Lindsey H. had great aggressive base running while Alary W. kept the ball in front of her with some awesome catching instincts. Of course a huge shout out to Ella L. for being the best manager ever. Thank you for a FABULOUS season ladies! Great job! :)
The 7th grade B baseball team battled hard in a well-played game by both sides yesterday in Monticello. Both teams played exceptional defense with East turning a 1-2-3 double play with bases loaded to stop Monticello from scoring. Colin G., Jackson H. and Jack R. were in on that play. Later in the game Josh B. threw a laser to 3rd base and Wes E. applied the tag to stop a runner who was trying to take extra bases. Josh B. also pitched well along with Colin G. In the end however Monticello proved to be too much and won the game 7-4. Jackson H. hit the ball hard all game and gathered 2 RBIs.
The 7th grade A baseball team avenged an early season loss to Monticello with a victory yesterday. Ryan W. led the team on the mound and at the plate. The Knights secured their win with a 5 run 6th inning and solid defense throughout the game. Both teams will end their season with a game against Cambridge on Thursday…weather permitting.
8th grade baseball A team split the season series with Monticello on a blustery night winning 7-3. Sam H. had 2 hits and an RBI and pitched a great game, Jarrett F. had 2 hits, and Matthew M. had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Ashtyn G. continues to be a team player by doing everything he is asked on the ballfield and Evan D. continues to lead by example on the diamond.
The 8th grade B team had a tough loss against Monticello on an unseasonably chilly May night. Rainer M. hustled on every play as he is known to do and continues to be a great teammate. Benny P. reached base twice.
