🍎 Nutrition Nuggets for a Healthy School Community

  1. Hydration Helps Learning 💧
Did you know your brain is 75% water? Staying hydrated helps you concentrate and think clearly—keep that water bottle close!

  2. Power Up with Breakfast 🍳
Kids who eat breakfast do better in school! A mix of whole grains, protein, and fruit fuels both body and brain.

  3. Snack Smart 🥕
Swap chips for crunchy carrots or apple slices with peanut butter. Healthy snacks keep energy steady and moods balanced.

  4. Eat the Rainbow 🌈
Different colors of fruits and veggies have different vitamins and minerals. Challenge your class to eat every color this week!

  5. Sugar Sneaks In 🍭
Juice, soda, and even flavored yogurts can hide a lot of sugar. Choose water, milk, or plain yogurt with fresh fruit instead!

  6. Fiber is Your Friend 🌾
Whole grains, fruits, and veggies help keep your tummy happy and digestion smooth. Look for "100% whole grain" on labels!

  7. Protein Power 💪
Eggs, beans, yogurt, cheese, or lean meats help muscles grow and keep you full longer. Great for growing kids!

  8. Mindful Eating Matters 🧠
Slow down and enjoy your food—eating too fast can lead to overeating and missing your body’s “I’m full” signal.

  9. Lunchbox Love 🍱
Add one healthy surprise in your lunchbox each day—try a new fruit, veggie, or whole grain snack!

  10. Be a Role Model 👨‍👩‍👧
Kids mimic adults! Show healthy habits at home by making nutritious choices together and eating meals as a family.
