ACT Testing

  • Visit the ACT Student site to ACT dates & registration.

ACT - the STMA school code is: 242-209. Four-year colleges in the central United States require the ACT scores as part of the criteria for acceptance and may require a minimum of 18 out of a 36. There is a fee and a deadline for registering. We recommend that students sign up for the ACT Plus Writing. STMA is a site location for one test date in June. All other test dates are held at various other locations, as specified online.

Make sure to indicate on your ACT online registration where you would like your test scores sent (you can send your scores to four different colleges for no additional cost when registering). After you take the test, there is a $13.00 fee each time you send your official test scores to a college.

Information on the ACT and SAT College Entrance Exams
Note: You do not have to take both exams. Most STMA students take the ACT exam as that is what Midwestern schools prefer versus the SAT. It is always a good idea to check with each college you are considering to determine if they prefer the ACT or SAT.
