The Science of Reading (SoR) is a comprehensive body of research that focuses on how individuals learn to read, the best practices for teaching reading, and the effective strategies for reading instruction. In 2024 the district adopted Functional Phonics + Morphology as the foundational curriculum for Grades K-4. By fostering a strong reading foundation, parents and educators can help their children develop a lifelong love of reading, which is essential for success in school and beyond.
