First Day of Practice:  Monday, April 1st.  All practices and home meets are at West.  Parents should pick you up each night at West.

Sports Physical:  you need to have a sports physical on file in Mr. Antony’s office.  Sports physicals are valid for three years. You need to have a sports physical on file in order to register.

Registration:  You may register online by going to your Schoolview account, clicking on fee pay, and then activities. If you have not been out for a sport yet this year, you will need to fill out the eligibility form online. If you have already filled this out for a fall or winter sport, your answers are probably still there, but you will have to electronically sign the form again. You will then be allowed to pay the $130 activity fee.  If you are on reduced or free lunch plan, your fee is lower. The system should tell you how much you have to pay according to your lunch account. If you think there is an error with the fee, please contact Ryan Antony at 763-497-4524 ext. 94124. Make sure you have a valid physical on file with the activities office or the system will not allow you to register.

Important Policies to remember:  

• You need to be passing all of your classes to be on the track and field team.  Mr. Antony will check to see if you are passing all of your classes at the mid tri.

• You need to be in class five full periods of the day in order to practice or participate in a meet that night.  If you have a doctor’s appointment, you may be excused from this requirement, but you need to make sure to bring a note to Mrs. Dodge, our attendance person, from the doctor explaining that the appointment took longer than usual.

• Your coaches will expect you to be at practice every day.  Practices are after school Monday through Thursday until 5:00.  Missed practices may result in reduced participation in meets.

• We will bus you to all road meets and back to West, but you may ride with your parents home after meets rather than ride the bus home if you choose.  You need to have your parent sign out with your coach if you ride home with a parent. If you are planning to ride home with someone else’s parents, your parents need to notify Mr. Antony of this one day in advance.

Clothes:  make sure to have warm clothes in your locker at all times.  There will be some very cold days in the spring, dress smart.
