Welcome From The Superintendent

  • I am delighted to welcome you to St. Michael-Albertville Schools!Dr. Ann MArie Foucault

At STMA, in partnership with our supportive families, generous community, and extraordinary staff, we proudly serve over 6500 students and have become a destination district for students and families throughout Minnesota. We focus our efforts on ensuring each student is a self-directed learner, purposeful thinker, effective thinker, and responsible citizen. Our vision statement reflects our commitment to educating the whole student: We will be the pride of our community with continued top rankings in academics, arts, activities, athletics, and resource management. In our quest to realize our vision, we are guided by our core values. They are an integral part of who we are and what we are all about. They guide us in the work we do each day, including:
       • We are committed to students first.
       • We provide exceptional educational opportunities.
       • We have extraordinary and caring staff.
       • We offer a solid return on investment.
       • We foster community pride.

Our longstanding tradition of excellence is closely tied to the emphasis we place on focusing our resources on students. This core value guides our work and is an essential ingredient to our success. Each of our eight schools is committed to innovation and continuous improvement. Our learning environments are carefully designed to meet the needs of today's changing learners by sparking creativity and igniting passion. Because we are dedicated to helping students feel valued, safe, connected, and respected, our caring staff work to ensure that every student who enters our doors feels welcome, engaged and inspired.

We are preparing students for a future we can only imagine. We are committed to excellence and offer many opportunities for students to help them embrace the possibilities. This starts in the classroom, where our rigorous E-12 curriculum along with personalized learning focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the 21st century. High-quality instruction and effective programming ensure students are prepared for the jobs of tomorrow.

Learning and growth occur outside of the classroom as well. Students excel not only in academics but also in the arts, activities, and athletics. Our students and teams are consistently recognized at the regional, state, and national levels.

I look forward to serving you and hope that if you have not already become involved in our schools, you consider sharing your time and talent as a volunteer. There is no better way to understand STMA’s tradition of excellence than to experience it firsthand. I look forward to seeing you in our schools and out in the community.
