Good morning, it is Wednesday, May 17th. It is a day 1.
Congratulations to our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands. Your concerts last night were fantastic.
Please return all overdue books to the media center. Students with overdue books will not be allowed to check out books. All library books need to be returned by May 25th.
Please be sure to return and check out books before school starts. The media center is open from 8-8:30 during testing, but will be closed during testing.
If you’re interested in running for Student Council next year, applications are due tomorrow. You can find applications in the office or with Ms. Paasch or Ms. Barrett.
All current 6th and 7th grade students are eligible to sign up for the middle school marching band camp June 5th – 9th. Students that do not play a band instrument can be a part of the color guard and carry flags or a banner in the parade. Sign up through community education by Friday. See Mrs. Jordheim if you have questions.
The entrepreneurship group from the High School is coming back to sell their products at lunch tomorrow and Friday. There will be products like sweatshirts, lanyards, hats, popsockets etc. Bring money the items could range from anywhere between $5-$40.
Registration is open for middle school summer speed and strength. The sessions start on June 5. If you have any questions, please ask Mr. Kelley.
The Gold tennis team was able to play indoors in a cool fieldhouse at on Monday night against a very good junior varsity [many High School players]. Liam Langer picked up a singles win. The Blue team finished 4-4 last night against Buffalo. It was a great matchup and a very fun night- thanks to all who came. Tonight is the parents Vs. players and ice cream event- rain or shine: 3:45- 4:45 All Blue and Gold players and parents/ siblings are welcome!
The 7th grade West baseball team split with Monticello last night, winning the first game 8-3 and losing the second 2-0. Ian S. and Zach H. each had two runs scored in the first game. Dawson C. pitched a solid three innings in the second game.
The Knights 8th grade A baseball team held on to beat Monticello 6-5 for the season sweep last night. Eric F. was strong on the mound striking out eight Magic batters. Eric F., Chase B., and Kyler K. all came through at the plate with a double and Jack H. had two. Blake L. scored two runs include the decisive score.The B team beat Monticello by an impressive score of 9-2. Brett “B-Willy” W. threw another gem and confounded the Magic hitters. Brett struck out three hitters and went four innings on the mound allowing zero earned runs. The Knights offense scored five first inning runs before having a single batter retired. Big hits included Logan H.’s RBI single and Everett S. and Austin K. all coming through with doubles. Defensively, Matt K. made plays to keep the Magic bats quiet.
7th grade baseball team is at Buffalo Middle School tonight. Bus leaves at 3:20. A game is first tonight.
8th grade baseball team is home tonight against Buffalo at 4:00. A game is first tonight.
Congratulations to Ellie B. Ellie was in six activities this year: basketball, select choir, golf, choir, tennis, and band.
Main lunch line has breaded pork patty, romaine salad, whipped potatoes, gravy, steamed carrots, bread, applesauce, and fresh fruit. The alternate line has PBJ grape, marinara meatball sub on a hoagie bun, romaine salad, crinkle cut fries, and assorted fruits and vegetables.
