Good morning, it is Wednesday, February 15th.  It is a day 1. 

There will be no open gym for SNAP today they are doing gym repairs

7th and 8th grade Stress Busters is today during SNAP.  Come to the cafeteria if you are signed up!

If you were in Mrs. Swanson’s class for Elementary Buddies on Exploratory Day please swing down to Mrs. Wimmer’s room to pick up some mail from your first grade buddy.

If you would like to be part of the Middle School Book Club, you may register online or call Community Ed to sign up.  Grades 5 & 6 book club starts next Tuesday and Grades 7 & 8 start February 28th.  The meetings will be held at West.  Sign up now!

Whether you want a recreational or travel softball experience, community ed has the program for you.  Go to www.stmagirlsfastpitch.com to check out their programs and register.  Registration is open through February 24.

There will be an organizational meeting for all 7th & 8th grade girls who want to play school softball.  The meeting will be right after school in the lecture hall on February 28th.  It will last until about 3:30.

The 7th grade Blue team went to Monticello on Monday night to play the Magic. The first half was fast paced as both teams came out firing mid-range jumpers.  Although the Blue team came up short (38-19) they did show improvement running their offense and being aggressive on defense. Scoring for the Knights were Dylan B. with 4, Alex N., Kaleb A., Devon B. and Dylan E . with 2 apiece.

The 7th grade boys basketball Gold Team had an exciting comeback victory over Buffalo 28-26 on Tuesday night.  The Knights trailed most of the game before staging an exciting rally.  Justin M. played a solid game from the point cashing in 7 points.  Ben H. started the rally playing tenacious full court defense and nailing a couple of buckets.  Dylan J. had 9 points including 2 clutch free throws to nail down the win.  The game ended on the Knights defensive end with Buffalo attempting several last second shots until Jack I. gathered up a loose ball as the buzzer sounded.  Great game boys! 

8th grade boys’ basketball Blue team is at East tonight.  Bus leaves at 3:20.

Winter Week is next week and here are your dress up days!  Tuesday is PJ Day; Wednesday is Twin Day, Thursday is MN Sports Day, and Friday is Favorite Book Character Day.

Main lunch line has turkey gravy, whipped potatoes, creamy coleslaw, garden peas, biscuit, craisins, and fresh fruit.  The sandwich line has PBJ grape, barbecued rib on a hoagie bun, creamy coleslaw, baked beans, sliced pickles, potato smiles, and assorted fruits and vegetables.
