Good morning, it is Tuesday, October 3rd.  It is a day 3.  

Mrs. Skaff is out this morning so NO SPEECH this morning classes only.  Afternoon Speeck is still on.

After school Youth Matters starts tonight for students who are signed up.  Fifth grade meets in Mrs. Von Bank’s room.  6th, 7th, and 8th grade Youth Matters students meet in lab F113.

Students and Staff:  Picture retake day is today.  All students and staff that did not get a picture taken by Zahler Photography will need to report to the Atrium (follow the signs) to have their picture taken during your scheduled lunch.  KORT Teachers:  If you have students that did not get their picture taken and would like to order pictures, send them to the office to get a Zahler Picture Order Form.  Staff check your e-mails, find the one from Mrs. Dodge which indicated which of your KORT students need to get your picture taken.

Art Club begins tomorrow after school in Ms. Erickso’s room.  There are still a couple of spots open.  Please register today if you plan to attend tomorrow.  Register Through Community Education Online. Art Club is for students in grades 5-8 interested in making art once a week after school from 3:15 until 4:15.

There will be an organizational meeting right after school Friday in the lecture hall for all 7th & 8th grade girls interested in playing school basketball this year. 

You can get into tonight’s girls’ soccer game against Chisago Lakes and the STMA cross country invitational for free tonight with your Knights against Cancer t-shirt.  Other free events with your t-shirt include the boys’ soccer game against Big Lake Thursday and the volleyball tournament on Friday night. 

The girls swim and dive team continue to swim well and win big!  Several girls dropped time last night at our tri meet with Monticello and Foley including Emma H. in 100 IM, Julia S. in 50 free, Allie L. 100 free, and Ella C. in 300 free.

8th Grade volleyball team took on Monticello at home last night with wins for both the A and B teams. Great hustle and teamwork from the A team helped them win.  Sophia J. and Jenna J. played strong at the net. Trinity R. and Avery K. contributed with strong serving. The B team had strong serving from Jaricha K., Tatum B., and Kailey B. Both teams are showing great improvement in their coverage on the court! The team takes on East tonight at home.

Girls’ tennis team is at Buffalo Middle School tonight.  Bus leaves at 3:20.

West B Boys’ soccer team is at Monticello tonight.  Bus leaves at 3:20.   B game only.  West B team plays tonight in Monticello.

Girls’ soccer team is at North Branch Middle School tonight.  A game only.  Dismissal from class is at 2:30.  7th grade girls soccer players: Wednesday is our team picture day.  Please wear your uniform to practice on Wednesday!

A Boys soccer team is home tonight (at East) against Monticello at 4:00.  A game is first.

8th grade volleyball team is home tonight against East at 3:45.  A and B matches played at the same time. 

7th grade volleyball team is at East tonight.  Bus leaves from the shuttle bus area by the bus parking lot at 3:20.  Your bus will not bring you back to West, have your rides pick you up at East.

Cross Country team is at the STMA Invitational at the Rec Center.  Dismissal from class is at 2:35.

Lunch today:  Lines one and two have beef nacho supreme.  Line three has hot turkey, ham, and cheese, PBJ grape, and deli turkey sandwich.
