Good morning, it is Monday, September 18th.  It is a day 1.  

The kitchen will be starting to have many Ala-Carte options available today.  Please remember that ala-carte items are not included with your lunch, and will cost additional money.   Everything is marked with the price on it.  If you wish to have a PBJ as your main lunch entrée, please remember to go to line 3.  Thank you!!

All eighth graders that are interested in joining the debate team this year should attend the student and parent informational meeting tomorrow nigth at 6:30 in Ms. Devine’s room 2283 at the high school. Please email Ms. Devine at melanied@stma.k12.mn.us if you have any questions.

The high school STMA high school volleyball teams will be hosting their annual Youth Night tomorrow night during their home match against Wayzata!  All youth and middle school players wearing their jersey or an STMA volleyball shirt will receive free admission into the matches! In addition, there will be t-shirts and mini-volleyballs thrown out before the varsity match begins. After the match, Varsity players will be available for photos and signatures.

Students, Knights Honor drawings will start Wednesday. 

Don’t Forget to Make Time For Art!  REGISTER NOW Middle School West Art Club. Art Club is for students in GRADES 5-8 interested in making art after school. There will be eight class sessions Beginning in OCTOBER, taught by Ms. Erickson and Mrs. Miller. Art Club is from 3:15-4:15 and students will need to arrange getting a ride home after each session. Congratulations to both girls’ soccer teams last Thursday night.  Both teams started off strong offensively against Princeton. The B team won the first game 11-1.  Zaya E. led the B team in scoring with four goals.  Also scoring for the Knights were Edie N., Rylee H., Madison R., and Erin M.  In the A game, the Knights won 8-1.   Leading the A team in scoring was Raelin S. who ended the night with a hat- trick.  Also scoring for the Knights were Sydney P., Casey F., and Olivia B.  Both teams also had a great showing from all involved including defenders and goal keepers.  

Congratulations to Katie S. who took 8th place overall in the varsity cross country race at the Rum River Invitational in Anoka last week.  Katie’s time of 20:06 in extremely tough running conditions helped the varsity girls cross country team to a first place finish.

Boys’ West B Soccer team plays Cambridge-Isanti at the Isanti Soccer Complex.  B game only tonight.

Girls’ soccer team is at St. Francis Middle School tonight.  A game is first, bus leaves at 3:20.

7th grade volleyball team is at Buffalo Middle School tonight.  A and B matches will be played at the same time.  Bus leaves at 3:20.  7th grade volleyball players please get dressed in your uniforms right after school and meet Mrs. Hannon and Ms. Paasch by the blue stairs in the atrium for our game tonight. 

8th grade volleyball team is home tonight against Buffalo at 4:15.  A and B matches will be played at the same time.

Girls’ swim and dive team is home tonight against Cambridge-Isanti at 5:00.

Lunch today:  Lines one and two have waffle sticks and cheese omelets.  Line three has hamburgers or cheeseburgers.

At this time any students who bike or walk to school need to report to the auditorium for a safety presentation given by Deputy Erickson and Mr. Jennissen.  Please bring all your materials, as this presentation will take the remainder of your time in KORT.
