Good morning, it is Monday, September 11th.  It is a day 2.  

Students remember, unless you have a pass from a teacher, you should not be in the hallways before 8:00. 

Any 5th grader interested in running for Student Council can pick up an application in the office, or from Ms. Barrett or Ms. Paasch.  Applications are due tomorrow.

All eighth graders that are interested in joining the debate team this year should attend the student and parent informational meeting on September 19th at 6:30pm in Ms. Devine’s room 2283 at the high school. Please email Ms. Devine at melanied@stma.k12.mn.us if you have any questions.

Attention all MSW Students! Photography, page design, wordsmithing…if they sounds interesting to you…consider joining the yearbook staff.  The yearbook at STMA Middle School West is designed by students from the cover to the pictures inside. It involves taking pictures, choosing content, choosing the cover, deciding page layouts, and ensuring that the content is readable!  Yearbook staff application are available in the office.  Applications are due to Mrs. Peterson by Friday. 

All 4th – 8th grade girls interested trying out for traveling basketball can find information at stmagbb.com or contact Coach Hamre.  Tryouts are next Sunday at Middle School West.

Congratulations to the Cross Country teams on their first meet of the year Saturday. The boys took home 5th place out of 11 teams.  Adam H. was the top finisher from West coming in 31st place out of 153 runners. Bobby C. (35th) and Gavin R. (36th), were the other top finishers. The girls’ team got 4th place.  Leah T. led the West runners with a 37th place finish. 

Girls Swim and Dive team is at Big Lake High School tonight.  Dismissal from class is at 2:45.

Lunch today:  Lines one and two have corn dogs.  Line three has sloppy joes, PBJ grape, and deli turkey hoagie. 

Please say the Pledge of Allegiance as a KORT at this time.
