Good morning, it is Monday, October 2nd. It is a day 2.
Congratulations to Mrs. Strait for her finish at the Twin Cities 10 mile race. She placed 19th out of 1173 women in her division.
Let’s celebrate the Twins being the first team to make the playoffs one year after losing 100 games! Wear your Twins baseball gear tomorrow for their first playoff game!
Coach Hamre and the coaches association would like to thank the East and West WEB students for their help on Friday night at the STMA coaches association tailgate you all did a great job and it was a great addition to the event.
Students and Staff: Picture retake day is tomorrow. All students and staff that did not get a picture taken by Zahler Photography will need to report to the Atrium (follow the signs) to have their picture taken during your scheduled lunch. KORT Teachers: If you have students that did not get their picture taken and would like to order pictures, send them to the office to get a Zahler Picture Order Form.
There will be an organizational meeting right after school Friday in the lecture hall for all 7th & 8th grade girls interested in playing school basketball this year.
You can get into tonight’s tennis match with Becker for free with your Knights against Cancer t-shirt. This is also true for tomorrow’s girls’ soccer game against Chisago Lakes and the STMA cross country invitational. Other free events with your t-shirt include the boys’ soccer game against Big Lake Thursday and the volleyball tournament on Friday night. Any student who has not picked up their cancer t shirt should pick it up in Jerr johnsons room during KORT!
Last Thursday the 7th grade Volleyball team took on St. Francis. Again both the A and B teams came away with wins. The B team won 2 to 1. After dropping the second game they were able to come back in the third game for the win. They were able to make some great plays. Taylor M. made the last play to put the Knights ahead 25 to 23. Alyssa S. was able to earn many points for the Knights with her serving. Jocelyn K. also served very well. The A team was able to win 3 to 0. The Knights had to come from behind in both game one and three. Julia W. led the Knights in serving. The Knights had some great plays from Maddie G. All our setters continue to do a great job.
Girls’ soccer team is at Buffalo Middle School tonight. A game is first. Bus leaves at 3:20.
7th grade volleyball team is at Monticello Middle School tonight. A and B matches will be played at the same time. Bus leaves at 3:20.
Girls’ tennis team is home tonight (at East) against Monticello at 3:45.
Girls' swim and dive team is home tonight (at East) against Foley and Monticello at 5:00.
Boys’ soccer team is home tonight (at East) against Waconia at 4:15. A game is first. West B team plays tonight.
7th grade B football team is home tonight against East at 3:45. B game only
8th grade volleyball team is home tonight against Monticello at 3:45. A and B matches played at the same time.
Lunch today: Lines one and two have French toast sticks and turkey sausage lines. Line three has hamburgers or cheese burgers, PBJ grape, and deli turkey sandwich.
