Posted on: Dec 4, 2017

Good morning, it is Monday, December 4th.  It is a day 2.

Fabulous job to our newest Knights Honor winners!  5th grade winners are:  Jacob C. and Sophia Z., 6th grade winners:  Connor B. and Eminah T., 7th grade winners are:  Kailyn E. and Julian E., and 8th graders:  Katie S. and Kristy L.

Hey Middle School West, are you up for a challenge? Student Council wants to see if in ONE week, we can collect $1200.  Here’s why…….we will be donating the money to various causes in our community, like the Hanover Food Shelf, Caring for Kids toy drive, and Coaches vs. Cancer event. So look for that spare change……scrounge in the couch cushions, dig in the pockets, break open the piggy bank!

There will be an information meeting right after school tonight in the lecture hall for all 7th & 8th grade boys interested in going out for school basketball this winter.

The St. Michael Lions 2017 Drug Awareness Poster Contest runs through Friday.  You will need to grab an official sticker for your contact information and poster board from Mrs. LaPointe in the health room, F110, or the main office. Posters need to be turned into Mrs. Lapointe or the office by Friday.  Winners will be announced in the new year.

Students interested in SoarArts performances should pick up a flyer in the office.

Congratulations to the middle school wrestling team on their fine performance in New Prague on Saturday.  No team points were kept but the Knights wrestled very well!  Kaden A. took first place in his weight class.

7th & 8th grade girls’ basketball teams are at Chisago Lakes Middle School tonight.  Dismissal from class is at 2:35.  Blue B team plays for the 8th grade.

7th & 8th grade girls’ basketball B teams are Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted tonight.  Bus leaves at 3:20.  Gold B team plays for the 8th grade.

“There may be people that have more talent than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.” –Derek Jeter.   The following students never make excuses. They work hard day in and day out.  They don’t only push themselves, but they push their classmates making everyone around them better. And they do this each day with a smile on their face and great attitude.  The PE department couldn’t be prouder of our November  FIT KIDS of the Month:5th graders Rowan S. & Hudson H.; 6th graders Lola M. & Kesean L.; 7th graders Maddy G. & Nathan W.; 8th graders Emma C. & Ian S.

Lunch today:  Lines one and two have corn dogs.  Line three has sloppy joes, PBJ grape, and deli turkey sandwiches.

Have a great day.
