Good morning, it is Wednesday, May 16th. It is a day 2.

Attention 7th grade students: Today you will be taking the NWEA Reading Test. You will be testing with the same teacher and in the same location that you took your MCA Reading Test and you should be in that location right now. If you are not there yet, remember to leave your phone or electronic device in your locker and bring a book to read, and any homework and report to that testing location now.
All those that attended the Community Ed Knitting class this past winter are welcome to come to Mrs. Bergan’s room after school tonight from 3:15 to 4:00. Bring your knitting along, so that you can share your progress with your friends and you can ask Mrs. Bergan and Miss Bauer any questions you have about knitting before going into summer break. We hope to see all of you there!
Anyone looking to make a few extra dollars this weekend and watch basketball? STMAGBB is hosting a MYAS youth basketball tournament and looking to pay people to run the clocks for the games. If you are interested contact Mr. Hamre.

Any girls or boys who will be in 7th, 8th, or 9th grade next year and are interested in running Cross Country in the fall, please stop by either Mr. Venaas’s or Mrs. Strait’s room to fill out an interest form.
The 8th grade softball teams swept Monticello yesterday. The A team started slowly, but rolled to a 10-3 victory. Sophie J.knocked in five RBI with a home run and double. The B team combined a slew of singles, walks, and aggressive base running to win 10-6. Abby C.threw out a runner trying to steal second base.
The fire department was called out to the 7th grade B baseball game last night at East due to multiple reports of an explosive offense that was on fire! Fresh off a soggy 8-7 victory over Monticello on Monday the team looked to continue their winning ways as they went for the sweep against East. Brady C. led the way going 3-for-3 with two RBI-doubles, Grant S. added a 3-run inside-the-park homerun, and Joey N. managed to walk four times and scored three runs. Everyone reached base last night, and nearly everyone had a hit. Jacob V. pitched a stellar inning facing three batters, striking out all three as the B-Squad rolled last night in their 15-8 victory over East.
7th grade softball team shut down Monticello last night winning both games! The A team won 3-0. Emily O. made her starting pitching debut and did great. The B team won 9-0. Khendal J. struck out three of the eight batters she faced. Marlee W. hit two singles, helping score runs for the Knights. The B team is still undefeated!
The 8th grade A team took down East last night 12 to 10! The Knights had solid pitching by Jarett B. and Mason S. Hayden O. had the hot bat going 3 for 3 with three doubles and four RBI’s. Ian S. was behind the plate and offensively stole two bases. Evan S. and Layton C. were perfect at the plate going a combined 4 for 4.
8th grade baseball team is home tonight against Monticello at 3:45. A game is first.
Lunch today: Lines one and two have Mandarin orange chicken over steamed rice. Line three has pulled barbecued pork on a hoagie bun, PBJ grape, and deli turkey on a hoagie bun.
