Middle School West - Wednesday, March 7th, 2018 - Day 3

Posted on: Mar 7, 2018

Good morning, it is Wednesday, March 7th.  It is a day 3.

Parent/teacher conferences are tomorrow night from 3:45 until 7:45.

The book fair is here. Stop down and take a peek. The book Fair is here until March 14th.

The MATHCOUNTS pizza party is tonight after school until 4:00 in Mr. Kucera's room.  The party is for anyone who participated in MATHCOUNTS this year.  Come celebrate and help send our team to the state competition.

5th and 6th graders!  Your next activity night is coming up this FRIDAY (March 9th) from 6:00-8:30 pm at Middle School East.  Cost is $4 with a food item to donate to the Hanover Food Shelf or $5 without.  There will be a dance, concessions, bingo, an obstacle course, and swimming (don’t forget your suit and towel).  We hope to see you there!  You will use door A for drop off and pick-up.

There will be an organizational meeting right after school next Monday in the lecture hall for all 7th & 8th graders interested in going out for golf this spring.

There will be an organizational meeting right after school on March 14th in the lecture hall for all 7th & 8th grade boys interested in going out for tennis this spring.

There will be an organizational meeting right after school on March 15th in the lecture hall for all 7th & 8th grade boys interested in going out for baseball this spring.  All 7th and 8th grade Middle School Baseball players please stop down this week to Coach Krupke’s room and pick up an apparel form if you are interested in purchasing baseball clothing.  The forms have all the information for you to go on-line and do your ordering.  All orders need to be turned in by next Monday.  Any questions please see him.

Yesterday we wished Coach Jerr Johnson good luck as his Knights hockey team prepares to play Duluth East in the state hockey tournament tomorrow, but we forgot to mention that Coach Jason Johnson is the assistant boy’s hockey coach.  Best of luck to both Coach Johnsons.

Students interested in riding a fan bus down to tomorrow’s state hockey tournament need to turn their permission form in by 9:00 this morning.  Unfortunately, there are only 50 tickets available for West students.  If more than 50 students turn permission forms in on time, a drawing will be held to select the 50 who will go down to the tournament.  Student council will be doing that drawing this morning.  A list of the 50 students drawn will be posted in the cafeteria and outside of my office.    If your name is drawn, you need to bring in your $16 check into Mr. Sukalski first thing tomorrow morning.  If your name is not drawn, you will be put on a waiting list in order of your drawing.  If you are on the waiting list, it might be a good idea to have $16 with you tomorrow because you may end up getting to go if someone gets sick or can’t go for some reason.

Lunch today:  Lines one and two have Italian spaghetti.  Line three has meatball sub on a hoagie bun, PBJ grape, and deli turkey on a hoagie bun.

Have a great day.
