Posted on: Feb 14, 2018

Good morning, it is Wednesday, February 14th.  It is a day 2.

It's that time of year to make your summer softball plans.  Whether you want a recreational or travel softball experience, we have the program for you.  Go to  www.stmagirlsfastpitch.com to check out our programs and register.  Registration is open through next Monday.

There will be an organizational meeting right after school in the lecture hall on February 21st for all 7th & 8th grade girls interested in playing school softball this spring.

The 7th grade boys’ basketball A team raced out to a huge first half lead and cruised to victory over the Isanti Bluejackets.  All 9 players scored in a variety of ways.  The first half saw many fast break lay ups off aggressive defense.  The second half saw the team execute their half- court offense with a mixture of inside and outside scoring.  All players made a positive contribution in this victory. The Blue B team also raced out to a huge margin and gained a comfortable victory.  Alex S. and Josh S. each had 16 points followed by Graham A. with 14. Carter C. and Mitch R. played solid games at the point guard position.  All 19 MSW players (A/B) got in the score column against the Bluejackets.

The 8th grade Boys Basketball teams hosted the Isanti Bluejackets yesterday afternoon at MSW, and earned a split on the evening.  The A team jumped out to an early lead that would not be relinquished, as they led start to finish, earning their fifth win of the season.  The team had a balanced scoring attack with six players scoring four or more points. The Blue B team played well, but just couldn’t hold off the Bluejackets in the final couple of minutes, losing in a close one- 27-22.  Jake B. led the way with 12, Gabe T. put in 4, and Nik N. and Mason U. each chipped in two points.

Lunch today:  Lines one and two have French toast sticks with cheese omelets.  Line three has hamburgers or cheeseburgers, PBJ grape, and deli turkey on a hoagie bun.
