Middle School West - Wednesday, April 11th, 2018 - Day 2

Posted on: Apr 11, 2018

Good morning, it is Wednesday, April 11th.  It is a day 2.

No 7th grade softball practice tonight.

Boys’ tennis will be practicing outside tonight after school.   You have an away match at Becker tomorrow.  Players who played last year will be traveling to Becker.  Players who are new this year will be having practice at East on Thursday.

Students and staff:  This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week.  Every year, schools across the state of Minnesota are asked to have conversations with their students about what can and should be done to be safe in the event of severe weather.  On Thursday, April 12th, Middle School West will conduct a Severe Weather Safety Drill at approximately 1:45 p.m.  Your 6th Period Teacher will review the classroom plan prior to the drill tomorrow.

Friday is exploratory day.  Have you seen the forecast?  It calls for temperatures in the 30s, a 90% chance of rain and winds howling at 20 mph.  It will be a miserable day outside if you are not dressed warmly.  Be smart and bundle yourself up as much as possible.

Golfers, on days we practice indoors, please have your parents pick you up in the bus parking lot at East instead of the regular pick up line.  This will speed the pickup process up and clear up a lot of the congestion for practice pickup.

Lunch today:  Lines one and two have cheese ravioli with marinara sauce.  Line three has meatball sub on a hoagie bun, PBJ grape, and deli turkey on a hoagie bun.

6th Graders participating in the Battle of the Books to come down to the media center during SNAP today. 5th Graders participating in the Battle of the Books should report to the media center tomorrow during KORT.

Have a great day.
