Middle School West - Thursday, April 12th, 2018 - Day 3

Posted on: Apr 12, 2018

Good morning, it is Thursday, April 12th.  It is a day 3.

Students and staff:  This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week.  Every year, schools across the state of Minnesota are asked to have conversations with their students about what can and should be done to be safe in the event of severe weather.  Today, Middle School West will conduct a Severe Weather Safety Drill at approximately 1:45 p.m.  Your 6th Period Teacher will review the classroom plan prior to the drill.

Tomorrow is exploratory day.  Have you seen the forecast?  It calls for temperatures in the 30s, a 90% chance of rain and winds howling at 20 mph.  It will be a miserable day outside if you are not dressed warmly.  Be smart and bundle yourself up as much as possible.

Boys’ tennis team is at Becker High School today.  Only those players who played last year are going to Becker.  Bus to Becker leaves at 3:30.  All new players will report to East for practice, ride the regular shuttle bus to East.

No golf practice tonight, no 8th grade baseball practice tonight.

Lunch today:  Lines one and two have breaded pork patties with whipped potatoes and gravy.  Line three has spicy chicken patty on a bun, PBJ grape, and deli turkey on a hoagie bun.

5th Graders participating in the Battle of the Books should report to the media center today following announcements.

Have a great day.
