Good morning, it is Monday, May 14th. It is a day 3. It is the 160th day of school.
Fantastic job to last week’s Knights Honor winners. They are: 5th graders, Renae F. and Novah V., 6th graders, Ngao V.and Avery R., 7th graders, Tyler B. and Holly C., and 8th graders, Emma B. and Hannah H.
Attention 8th grade students: Today you will be taking the NWEA Reading Test. After KORT, you will be testing with the same teacher and in the same location that you took your MCA Reading Test. Testing students are reminded to leave your phone or electronic device in your locker and bring a book to read, and any homework and report to your assigned testing location.
All lost and found items have been moved outside the office. There are a lot of winter items, especially hats and gloves/mittens. If you are missing anything, please visit the lost and found and take anything that belongs to you. Any remaining items will be donated tomorrow afternoon.
All those that attended the Community Ed Knitting class this past winter are welcome to come to Mrs. Bergan’s room after school on Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:00. Bring your knitting to share your progress with your friends and you can ask Mrs. Bergan and Miss Bauer any questions you have about knitting before going into summer break. We hope to see all of you there!
Students and staff, you are invited to come check out the newly formed MSW Unified Club. Unified Club is an exciting opportunity which combines students with and without intellectual disabilities to develop meaningful relationships, help spread acceptance, and ensure everyone feels included and welcome at Middle School West. The first meeting will be held in the gym tonight from 3:10-4:10. If you would like to make a difference and meet more friends at MSW, we hope you'll come check out Unified Club. We’ll be offering a variety of activities that are inclusive and inviting for all. See you Monday!
Any girls interested in Summer Basketball Camp can pick up a flyer in the office or see coach Hamre
There will be a robotics demonstration in the atrium tomorrow during lunches for 6th and 7th graders. We will be offering a First Tech Challenge Team next year for 7th and 8th graders. The demonstrations will take place around 12pm and around12:55pm. If you have any questions or are interested in joining the team talk to Mrs. Schlecht.
Any girls or boys who will be in 7th, 8th, or 9th grade next year and are interested in running Cross Country in the fall, please stop by either Mr. Venaas’s or Mrs. Strait’s room to fill out an interest form.
7th & 8th grade softball teams are at Buffalo (Bentfeld Mills City Park). A games are first. Bus leaves at 3:20.
Golf team is at Buffalo Heights Golf Course tonight. Dismissal from class for those going to the meet is at 3:00.
7th grade baseball team is at Monticello High School tonight. A and B games played at the same time. Bus leaves at 3:20.
8th grade baseball team is home tonight against Monticello at 3:45. A game is first.
Lunch today: Lines one and two have French toast sticks with cheese omelet. Line three has hamburgers or cheese burgers, PBJ grape, and deli turkey on a hoagie bun.
