The 7th grade boys’ basketball Blue team came away with a victory against East last night.  The Knights came out early and made some nice drives and passes which lead to easy baskets.  The boys built a lead and were able to maintain it with solid team play and effort.  All 11 players scored in the game.  This demonstrated the balance attack they have shown all season. The Ateam earned a victory over their friends and rivals at East.  Outstanding defense and hustle provided a spark in this game.  The Knights also executed their offense in the half court and shot the ball well.  The team played unselfish basketball all season and worked well as a team.  This led to many victories and steady improvement as the season went on.Coach Anfenson would like to thank all 36 players for their dedication and efforts during the season. It was a fun season and we all look forward to your continued success in athletics and the classroom.

Congratulations to the following students that got caught reading: Josie B. got caught by Mrs. Eull, Colin R. got caught by Mrs. Joos, Emma by Mr. Johnson, and Preston K by Mrs. Rausch.

John Wooden once said: "Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should have accomplished with your ability." STMA Middle school west fit kids of the month  for February demonstrate that every day coming to class with a positive growth mind set and push themselves to be the best they can be everyday. 5th graders Braedon C. & Ella E.; 6th graders Luke E. & Juliana Z.;  7th graders Khendal J. & Jack C.; 8th graders Maggie L. and Adam H.

Congratulations to Coach Lefebvre and the varsity wrestling team.  They beat Shakopee last night to become state champions.  The Knights have won numerous state championships when we were in a smaller class, but this is the first outright championship since the Knights started competing in the largest school class.  Congratulations also to Mr. Kelley who coached most of the current Knights wrestlers when they were in middle school.

Lunch today:  Lines one and two have personal cheese or personal pepperoni pizza.  Line three has breaded chicken patties, PBJ grape, and deli turkey on a hoagie bun.

Have a great day.
