The 7th grade Gold B basketball team lost a 10 point ball game to North Branch. The boys went out to a 10-7 advantage only to see North Branch go on 20-0 run. The Knights recovered ending the game on a 11-4 run. It was not enough to gain victory. The guys need to continue working hard at practice to learn plays and improve fundamentals. They have shown great improvement since the start of the season. Sean T.was the leading scorer with 6 points. The A team had convincing victory over North Branch. The team jumped to a huge first half advantage and cruised to victory. The boys have shown excellent quickness and team play during the season. Ethan C.was solid at the point guard position setting the offense and scoring. Connor L.had excellent first half on the defense end that turned into easy baskets for the Knights.
All 3 of the 8th grade Boys Basketball teams were in action yesterday, Both the Blue and Gold B teams lost their games. The Gold B team lost to North Branch, and the Blue B team losing to a very, very good Howard Lake Waverly Winsted team. The A team boys won in a thriller over a previously undefeated North Branch team, 45-40. The Knights found themselves down 3 at halftime, but a combination of better defense, and a nice 8 point scoring flurry by Joe S. got the hometown team back in front. Robert P. and Johnny T. each hit huge 3’s down the stretch to keep the lead. Alex N. turned in a solid performance with his 4 points and 6 rebounds.
