Posted on: May 16, 2018

Good morning.  It is Wednesday, May 16th.   It is a day 2.

A reminder that as we near the end of the school year, the kitchen staff has placed the last ala carte order. The kitchen staff will sell until items are gone so you may have to bring extra snacks from home. Plan accordingly.  Our kitchen staff will have water and juice boxes through the last day of school.

5th Graders, come to the last WEB event on Friday from 3:05 until 4:45!  There will be games, prizes, and more at the Summer Send-off!

Anyone looking to make a few extra dollars this weekend and watch basketball?  STMAGBB is hosting a MYAS youth basketball tournament and looking to pay people to run the clocks for the games.  If you are interested contact Mr. Cleveland.

Any girls interested in summer basketball camp can pick up a flyer in the office or see Coach Cleveland.

A carved wolf pen was found, A silver diamond shaped necklace was found in the lunch room.  A pair of black and pink glasses were found in a pink Candie's case.  Please claim these items in the office.

The struggles continue against West for the 8th grade baseball team although they played them much closer than last game. The B team lost a thriller 15-14. Carter H., Sam E., Dalton C., Luke M., and Charlie B. all had 3 hits. The A team lost 12-10 but played well. Carter B. mashed 3 laser hits and Casy L. had 2 hits and 2 RBI.

7th grade softball shut down Monticello last night winning both games! The A team won 3-0. Emma B. stole home for the first run of the game after she had been walked. Lindsey E. had a triple.  Erin H., Jadyn P. and Anika R. all hit singles. The B team won 9-0.  Ella V. had a strike out as the closer. Ella was also one of the two players hitting a homerun. Gabby T. hit the other homerun, and hit a double in the inning prior as a warm up. Lexi H. hit two singles, helping score runs for the Knights. The B team is still undefeated!

The 8th grade softball teams swept Monticello yesterday.  The A team started slowly, but rolled to a 10-3 victory.  Emma V. hit a home run and threw out a runner who drifted a little too far from third base.  The B team combined a slew of singles, walks, and aggressive base running to win 10-6.

Have a great day.
