Good morning.  It is Wednesday, May 6th.  It is a day 1. 

Photo contest at Middle School East! Show your creativity and perspective of what spring outdoors in STMA is really all about!   Capture your favorite photos (Max of 3) and submit by Friday  to Mrs. Laage, Mr. Livers, or Mrs. Autio (You must print on your own time and use your own resources.)  Winner will be announced next Monday!  Prizes awarded to top 3 entries!

The health office is running low on cold packs, please return any from your locker.

The Knights Honor Lounge for sixth grade will be held today,

A pair of glasses were found.  They are pink and black Ray Bans.  Please claim in the office.

Student Council will be hosting a blanket making night tomorrow night from 6-8pm here at MSE.  We are using the money we raised during our penny drive to purchase materials.  These blankets will be donated to Wright County Child Services.    We will be serving lemonade and a snack, and those attending will be entered into a raffle! All students are invited to join Student Council – we would love your help and hope to see you there!

5th Grade Boys interested in information regarding 6th Grade Fall Tackle Football should stop in the office and pick up a flyer

There will be an organizational meeting for all boys grades 6-8 interested in playing school soccer next fall.  That meeting will be right after school on May 20th in the cafeteria.

Mia S. had two hits in the varsity softball game against Wayzata on Monday night.

7th grade B baseball team played a strong game Monday night finishing 10-9 over west.  Sam M.  had a huge homerun that helped rally the Knights to a victory.  Strong pitching from Tyler W., Nolan G. and Braden S. helped bring the Knights out on top!

The boys tennis team lost to Buffalo.  The Knights got doubles wins from Zach B. and Ted W.  

The eighth-grade baseball A team defeated Monticello 5-4 behind excellent pitching from Austin H., Zach N. and Will A.. Spencer R. had an RBI single, Jared D. hit a triple, Joe S. had a huge two run single, and Will A. had the game winning RBI single. Dylan H. locked up the game with the web gem diving catch at catcher. The B team lost a tough game. Tyler D. continued his hot hitting with three singles and Zach J. reached base twice. Sam and Joe G. continue to impress with their great attitudes and encouragement for the rest of the team.

7th grade Baseball B Team battled strong last night but couldn't rally a win against Monticello losing 11-9.  The Knights got aggressive hitting and base running from Tyler Y. and Noah N..  Carter C. pitched two solid innings and was also solid at the plate.

7th grade Gold B baseball  team is home tonight against West at 3:45.

Congratulations to Katie J. and Erika J.  Both Katie and Erika were in five activities this school year.  Look for their pictures and activities on the monitors.
