Good morning.  It is Wednesday, February 11th.  It is a day 2. 

Parent/teacher conferences are tomorrow from 3:45 until 7:45.

The book fair is open all this week and part of next week.  Come on down and check out the selection.  GREAT BOOKS!!!  Great deals!!

Students in Mrs. Sirovy’s Language Arts classes have read a total of 3,327 books so far this school year for the 40 Book Challenge!  Her fifth graders have read an average of 32 books per student.  The sixth graders have read 28 books per student.  The seventh graders: 26 books.  Her eighth graders have read an average of 25 books.  If you are interested in participating in the challenge for the rest of the school year, please stop by Mrs. Sirovy’s room – B212.

A wallet was found during fifth and sixth grade lunch. Claim it in the office.

The Knights R Us High School store will be here during at conferences tomorrow to sell STMA apparel. 

Registration is now open for our 10U to 16U Travel and 10U to 14U Recreational Leagues through the STMA Girls Fastpitch Association this summer.  You may register at www.stmagirlsfastpitch.com.  Registration closes February 27th. 

The STMA high school wrestling team will be competing in and hosting the Section 7AAA Team championships at STMA High School This Friday.  We will wrestle the quarter-finals at 4:00, the semi-finals at 6:00, and the finals at 8:00 P.M. The Knights finished the regular season with a 21-2 record and are currently ranked #2 in the State.  Other top teams competing in the Section on Friday are the #5, #6, and #9 ranked teams in the state. Coach Lefebvre would love to have you come out Friday night and cheer on the high school wrestling team in their bid for a 17th straight State Tournament appearance.

The 7th grade A team ran its record to 5-2 with a 41-35 win over Cambridge last night.  The Knights had balanced scoring last night with Kale H. leading with 8.  Semaj H. was right behind with 7pts.  Jack C. scored 6  pts, Zach J. played his best game of the year and had 5 pts.  Davis M. and Tyson R. each had 4 pts.  Nick O. had 3 pts, and Sean B. and Jack S. contributed 2 pts each.  The Blue B team took it on the short end of a 38-24 decision.  Ben F. led the way with 11 pts.  Michael M. had 6 pts, Will S. had 5 pts and Carter C. had 2 pts.  

Best of luck to Gretchen M. and Josh G. as they represent East at the Regional Spelling Bee in Sartell tomorrow.
