Good morning.  It is Tuesday, November 14th, it is a day 3.

Parent/teacher conferences are this Thursday and again on November 21st from 3:45 until 7:45.

Stress Busters will be meeting to give thanks with Louie during academic seminar TOMORROW! Check in with your Academic Seminar teacher to make sure you can attend! We will make an announcement when it is time for you to come to the cafeteria for our activity!   

WEB would like to thank all middle school East students that participated in Friday’s Dodgeball Tournament.  A special thank you to Mr. Bakker and Mr. VanDanacker for being our awesome referees. Congratulations to the “Bandwagons” and the “Topdawg(z)- they are this year’s 5/6 and 7/8 bracket winners!  Check out your names on the trophy in the office sometime later this week.  Again, WEB thanks you for supporting our program.

Attention 5th Graders! WEB is hosting an after school “Gobble Gathering” for you this Friday from 3:05-5 pm.  There will be a lot of fun activities for you to do with the WEB leaders and your friends.  The cost is $5 and you can bring extra money if you’d like to buy a snack from concessions. Hope to see all 5th Graders this Friday!

New magazines are coming in at the Media Center!  We have some fresh and exciting selections that are different from years past, and we think you’ll really enjoy them!  Stop by the Media Center to check them out, and ask Mr. Koenig or Ms. Zachman if you have any questions about them!”

If you love to read and discuss novels, consider joining Middle School East’s book club! Book club will meet on Mondays after school from 3:15 to 4:15 in Miss Burton’s room (C323). Meetings will begin on December 4th for Trimester 2 and March 12th for Trimester 3. All grade and reading levels are welcome. Please speak to Miss Burton or review the Community Education Peachjar flyer for more information.

An army lanyard with pins on it was found, a necklace and a ring were found in cafeteria, a gold ring with stones was found in the bathroom by the cafeteria.  Please claim these items in the office.

The 8th grade girls basketball teams traveled to Buffalo last night to open up their season against the Bison.  The Lady Knights were able to earn a split on the road trip, with the A team losing 25 to 13, and the Blue B Team winning 36 to 6.  The Blue B team had six different players get in the books.  Hannah S. scored 6 points. 

The STMA girls’ 7th grade  A basketball team came away with a convincing win over Buffalo on Monday.  All 10 girls got in the score column.  The B team also delivered a convincing victory.  The team played well on both ends of the floor. 

Please remember to check lost and found for any items you may be missing.  Lost and found will be removed and donated after Wednesday.
