Good morning. It is Tuesday, February 14th, it is a day 3.
Youth Matters Students: This is a reminder that we have Youth Matters at its normal time tonight. There will be no Youth Matters this Thursday.
Stress Busters will be meeting with 7th and 8th grade students who signed up for the coloring activity tomorrow in the cafeteria. Sign up today if you are interested! Make sure to check in with your Academic Seminar teacher for attendance and get permission to come to the activity. It is your responsibility to know if you are signed up!
Have you ever wanted to be in a book club or want to know what one is all about, register online or call Community Ed to sign up for the Middle School Book club. Grades 5 & 6 book club starts February 21st and Grades 7 & 8 start February 28th and will be held at West. Sign up now!

The 7th grade B Gold basketball team fought hard but came up short to Delano last night by a score of 28-21. Positives from the game were aggressive defense that forced numerous Delano turnovers, good outside shooting, and good handling of their press. Tommy K. led the scoring with 6. Also scoring were Drew E. with 5, Carter H. with 2, Logan S. with 2, Dylan B. with 2, Sam F. with 2, and Dylan M. with 2. The 7 th grade A team took on Buffalo and overcame a sluggish start on a Monday to produce a convincing 50-30 win over the Bison. The boys produced a season high five 3 point baskets, made numerous extra passes to open teammates, and played shut down defense in the second half to gain their victory. Andrew B. played his most complete game of the year and led with 14 pts. Carson R. attacked the basket and contributed 9 pts. Rylan M. had 6 pts. Caden N. 5 points. Hayden F., Wesley K., Mason W., and Xavier P. 3 pts. Brooks O., Kyle R. 2 pts. The Blue B team won a closely contested game against Cambridge 35-29. Alex M. worked hard on the glass and attacked the basket to lead the team with 22 pts. Dalton C. had numerous rebounds and also had 6 pts. Matthew A. did a good job running the offense and keeping the team organized and had 4 pts. Matt M. had 2 pts. Jacob B. chipped in with one point.
The East 8th Grade Gold team traveled to Delano on Monday. Balanced scoring and suffocating team defense was the name of the game to win 55-18. All eight players made it in to the scoring column, including three in double figures (Aiden N. 12, Kyle B. 11 and Avery P. hit two threes on his way to 10). Tyler M. patrolled the paint and Bryce P. drained a beautiful corner three.
7th grade East Gold B team is home against Buffalo at 4:15.
