The 7th grade girls’ basketball A team had another convincing win to start the week. After a sluggish beginning the Knights slowly pulled away for a comfortable win over Chisago Lakes. The girls again showed balance scoring with many girls entering the score column. The team thrives on steals and fast break scoring. There is still work to be done in the half- court offense. The B team played solid defense and executed a nice pick and roll game in the win for the Knights. Kyra P. nailed her first points of the season with a nice 15 foot swish in the victory. Some of the 7th grade girls B team played Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted yesterday in a tough battle. The Knights fell to the Lakers 35-34, after leading until the final 30 seconds of play. Leading the Knights was Hannah K. who scored 13 points, Taylor J. scored 4 and 2 Lukanu B. scored 2. The lady Knights went 6 for 10 at the line.
The 8th grade girls Gold B team played a tough HL-W-W team yesterday. The Knights lost the game, but still came out with a few victories. Lynzie M. pushed the tempo and attacked the basket to create for the team, scoring 6 points in the process.
