Good morning.  It is Tuesday, December 19th, it is a day 1.  It is the 70th day of school.

8th graders, you will be in the pool right away after winter break. Bring your suits and towels in now so you are ready to make a splash in 2018!

A new shipment of books has begun to arrive at the media center.  We’ve especially ordered some books that are continuations of popular series.  So, if you are looking for something new and exciting to read over the holiday break, come check them out

The STMA Knights Girls basketball team plays host to the Hopkins Royals tonight. The Royals come to town with a perfect record of 7 and 0 and ranked number 1 in the state.  The Knights are 4 and 1 and ranked 6th in the state.  This is also the STMA GBB food shelf drive night!  Receive discounted admission for each non-perishable food item donated. Students $1.00 off per item, up to 4 items. Adults $1.00 off per item, up to 6 items. Donations will also be collected at admissions.  

A blue Instax mini 8 camera was found in Ms. Poirier’s room on Friday.  Please it in the office.

The 7th grade girls’ basketball team beat Isanti last night 49-11.  Every girl on the team scored at least one basket in the game. Hannah K. scored 10 points.The B team got off to a fast start, but cold shooting in the second half resulted in a tough loss for the girls.  Taylor J. scored some nice hoops early while Lukanu B. provided some inside hoops.  Isanti was tough on defense and excellent at driving to the basket.  The STMA girls fought hard but came up a bit short in the end.

7th & 8th grade girls’ B basketball teams are home tonight (at West) against Princeton at 4:15.  Gold B team plays for the 8th grade. 

7th & 8th grade girls’ A basketball teams are at Wayzata East Middle School tonight.  Bus leaves at 3:30.  7th grade game will be played first.

Wrestling team is at Monticello Middle School tonight against Monticello and Chisago Lakes.  Dismissal from class is at 2:55.
