Good morning.  It is Tuesday, April 28th.  It is a day 2. 

Photo contest at Middle School East! Show your creativity and perspective of what spring outdoors in STMA is really all about!   Capture your favorite photos (Max of 3) and submit by May 8th to Mrs. Laage, Mr. Livers, or Mrs. Autio (You must print on your own time and use your own resources.)  Winner will be announced on Monday May 11th!  Prizes awarded to top 3 entries!

6th and 7th graders who are interested in traveling to Washington DC and Gettysburg next Spring Break should have their parents attend the parent meeting at 6pm tomorrow night in Mr. Huggins’ room for more information. There is still time to pick up an invitation from Mr. Huggins or Mrs. Budion.

There will be a spring meeting for all girls soccer players who will be playing HS soccer next fall.  The meeting will be Sunday from 4:30-5:30 at the HS cafeteria.  If you cannot make it please contact Coach Johnson or Coach Leland.

Track team is at Monticello Middle School tonight.  Dismissal from class is at 2:55.

The 8th grade baseball A team got their first win 10-6. They had stellar pitching from Zach N. and Austin H.   Zach added a big two run double. Johnny M. had two hits, 2 RBI, and scored 3 runs and Will A. had 2 hits. The B team was trailing 7-3 but scored 4 runs in the last inning to end the game tied 7-7! Ryan H. had two timely hits and Connor H. had two hits including the game tying single.

The boys tennis team defeated Buffalo 5-3.  The Knights got doubles wins from Jack G., Jack S., Josh L., Ted W., Zach B., Jake B.,  and Cedric B.

The 7th grade A team lost a close game 6-5 against Buffalo on Monday. Highlights include Jackson B. throwing out three potential base stealers at second base and a strong pitching performance by Zach J. The hitting leaders were Ben F., who was 2 for 3 with a home run and Davis M.  and Miguel E. both with run scoring singles in the second inning. The B team won 15 -8 behind some strong pitching by Sean K. and home runs by Ben K. and Tyler Y. Key fielding plays from Sam W. and catching from Sam M. helped bring the Knights out on top! 

8th grade baseball team is at Buffalo Middle School tonight.  Bus leaves at 3:20.  A and B games will be played at the same time.

7th & 8th grade softball teams are at Isanti Intermediate School tonight.  Bus leaves at 3:20.  A games are first.

Boys’ tennis team is home tonight against Cambridge-Isanti at 4:00.

7th grade baseball team is home tonight against Buffalo at 3:45.  A and B games will be played at the same time.
