Good morning. It is Thursday, October 12th, it is a day 1.
8th Grade Phy Ed, you will be swimming today, tomorrow, or Monday. Please make sure you plan ahead and get your suit and towel here!
Please check the lost and found by the office this week. All items will be donated after this weekend.
Attention all 5th Graders! Tomorrow you will have your monthly meeting with your WEB leaders in the large gym during KORT. Please report to KORT at 8:30 and once attendance is taken, head to the large gym for some morning fun.
For those leaving for LLCC in a couple weeks -- Please start bringing in your medications and signed medication forms to the Health Office. Last day to drop off medications will be next Tuesday.
You can get into tonight’s Swim and Dive meet against Cambridge-Isanti for free if you wear your Knights against Cancer t-shirt. Another free event with your t-shirt is tomorrow night’s football game against Stillwater.
There will be an organizational meeting right after school tomorrow night in the cafeteria for all 7th & 8th grade girls interested in playing school basketball this year.
There will be an organizational meeting at 7:00 on October 26th in the lecture hall at Middle School West for all students and their parents interested in being in Destination Imagination this year.
A watch with a white band was has been found. Some money was found at the Courage Retreat. Please claim these items in the office.
Students in 7th and 8th grade who are interested in weightlifting should pick up a flyer in the office.
Boys in 5th and 6th grade interested in playing in the in-house basketball league should pick up a flyer in the office
Students interested in Ski Club should pick up a flyer in the office.
A big congratulations goes to Aria B, Aiden B, Evan D, Carter K, Peyton P, Daniel P, Brittney S, and Julia W for making it in to this year’s 7-8 All-State ACDA Honor Choir. This is a great honor to be chosen among hundreds of blind auditions throughout all middle schools in the state of Minnesota. We are very excited for you! Thanks to all students who auditioned; we encourage you to keep up your hard and dedicated work.
The 8th grade A football team lost 8-6 to Big Lake Tuesday. Jake S scored the touchdown and recovered a fumble forced by Alex M. Carter H recovered another fumble giving the team one last chance to win. The 8th grade B football team beat Big Lake 20-16. Caden N connected with Ben K for a 85-yard scoring pass with just 1:30 left to play. Caleb B excelled on both offense and defense. He threw a scoring pass to Asa T from 50 yards out and had a huge interception on defense to secure the Knights win. Jack D, Will S, and Neal K played solid games on both sides of the ball. The Knights record moved to 4-1.
The Cross Country team ran at Princeton on Tuesday and the girls team came home with a first place finish. Becca I won the race with Addie O taking 2nd place. We had several girls finish in the top 15 overall. They were Emelia W, Jamie L, Emma V, Natalie Z, Grace B, Ella S and Mia S. The boys team came in 4th place and were led by Dalton C’s 8th place finish. Other top finishers for the boys were Kyle R, and Eli P.
Girls’ tennis team is at Foley High School tonight. Dismissal from class is at 2:35.
Boys’ soccer team is at Monticello (Eastview Elementary) tonight. B game first, West B team plays tonight. Dismissal from class is at 2:55.
Girls’ soccer team is home tonight against West at 4:00. B game is first.
8th grade football team is at Monticello Middle School tonight. B game is first.
7th & 8th grade volleyball teams are at North Branch Middle School tonight. Dismissal from class is at 2:30.
7th grade football team is home tonight against Monticello at 3:45. B game is first.
