Good morning.  It is Thursday, January 18th,   it is a day 3. 

Good luck to the following students who are representing Middle School East at the District Spelling Bee tonight:  Ronald C., Lauren C., Jack E., Lucky K., Audrey K., Peyton L., Ava M., Marie M., Chris P., and Tyler Z.

7th & 8th grade winter athletes, remember that mid-tri is this week.  Make sure you are passing all of your classes, so that you can remain eligible to play your sport.

East Writing Club is for grades 5-8.  Have you wanted to improve your writing skills and share stories with others?  Join Ms. Lyke to write and share stories, edit stories, and share ideas with others.  Writing Club begins on Thursday, January 25 from 3:15-4:15.  You can sign up through Community Ed.

If you would like to purchase a Team Chris shirt for the Cancer Awareness Boys-Girls Double Header varsity basketball games on January 26th, the deadline to order is today.  Shirts will be delivered to schools January 25th or can be picked up at the game on January 26th.  A portion of each shirt sold will be donated to the Braun family.  Thank you for supporting Chris and her family!  You can order from the STMAGBB girls’ basketball website: WWW.STMAGBB.COM

Students in grades 6 – 8 that are interested in Weightlifting should pick up a flyer in the office.  Just a reminder that winter weight lifting starts next week Wednesday.  The session will cap at the first 100 kids, boys and girls grades 6-8, who sign up.  If you need a flyer, you can grab one from the office, Mr. Kelley or register online.

A mini USB fan was found.  An Ipad was found in the 6th grade pod. Please claim these items in the office.

A sum of money was found in the stairwell after lunch-please identify it and claim in the office.

Wrestling team is home tonight (at West) against Cambridge-Isanti at 4:30.

7th & 8th grade boys’ basketball teams are at North Branch Middle School tonight.   Dismissal from class is at 2:30.  Gold B teams play tonight.
