Good morning.  It is Friday, September 8th, it is a day 1.

Please check the lost and found in front of the office if you are missing a lunch box.

Reminder to all 7th grade volleyball players, you have practice tonight.

Attention Student Council Members – we will have our first meeting next week on Wednesday.  Please meet in Mrs. Lindquist room at 7:30 am.  Any 5th Graders interested in Student Council will be able to pick up an application in the office starting next week on Monday. If you have any questions about Student Council feel free to talk with Mrs. Lindquist or Ms. Ross.

All boys and girls ages 9-14 (as of Sept 1st) are invited to participate in the Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge.  The competition will be held tonight at 6:00 at the STMA Middle School East soccer fields.  There is no cost to compete and winners will receive awards and can advance to the state level competition.This competition is designed for players to demonstrate the most basic of soccer skills – the penalty kick.  Each player will be take 15 shots at the goal from the penalty line that is 12 yards back.  The goal is divided into 5 scoring zones with ropes.  The upper corners are worth 20 points, the lower corners are worth 10 points, and the center is worth 5 points.  The participant in each age category with the highest point total will be declared the winner. 

All eighth graders that are interested in joining the debate team this year should attend the student and parent informational meeting on September 19th at 6:30 pm in Ms. Devine’s room 2283 at the high school. Please email Ms. Devine at melanied@stma.k12.mn.us if you have any questions.

All girls 4th – 8th grade interested trying out for travel basketball can find information at stmagbb.com or contact Coach Hamre.  Open gym is this Sunday from 3 pm -5 pm at the high school and tryouts are September 17th at Middle School West.

Cross Country team is at Bertram Lake in Monticello tomorrow.  Bus leaves East at 8:45 in the morning.
