The 7th grade Blue B football team ran into a tough Becker squad last night and lost. Andrew F. had The Knights’ lone touchdown on a perfectly executed counter. Owen H. also had two big gains, one via a kick return and the other on a run.
The 8th grade girls’ volleyball team traveled to Big Lake and stung the Hornets last night. The B team started off the night with big wins led by great serving by Izzy C. and Hilary B. Morgan P. put the sting on the Hornets by having 4 kills in the 3 matches. Strong defense and an aggressive offense proved to be too much for the Hornets. The A team started off losing a close match 26-24, but came back strong winning the next 2 matches 25-14, 25-17. Great serving and defense were the keys to the win. Great net play by Allie C., Ella S., and Kaelee L. set up by great passing from Brenna H. and Tali C. took the sting out of the Hornets for the victory. Awesome job girls.
The 8th grade B football team lost a close ball game to Becker 16-14. Becker scored late and converted a 2 pointer to win the game. The Knights put together a 97 yard drive taking up most of the second half to grab the lead. Sam E. was key on the drive with many hard fought running yards. Tye K. and Carte B. cleared the way with strong blocking. Gavin S. made a nice catch to keep the drive alive. The defense made many nice plays during the ball game. Sam F. came up with a nice interception that stopped a Becker drive. The 8th grade A team lost to Becker on Thursday, but there were a some bright spots. Brooks O. and Kiers B each had several key tackles and both carried the ball for good yardage. Hayden F. had an interception in the end zone.
Have a great day.
