The 7th grade boys traveled to Rockford and came away with a split. The Blue B team lost 32-17 and played a much better second half as a team. It was a tough shooting night for the Knights. Ben F. had 6 points. Will S. and Tyler Y. had 4 points each. Michael M. had 2 points. Carter C. had 1 pts. The A team played by far it's best game of the season and showed stellar, in your face, defense to beat a very good Rockford squad 38-33. Outside of the defensive performance, the highlight of the night was Colton S. hitting a half court shot as the halftime buzzer sounded and shifted the momentum to the Knights. Kale H. again led the way with 9 pts. Semaj H. had a solid game with 7 pts. Jack C. and Garrett P. had 4 points each. Jack S. and Colton S. each had 3 points, including the half courter. Davis M., Nick O., Tyson R., and Andrew E. all had 2 points each.
The 8th grade Boys Basketball teams made their road trip to Rockford worthwhile, as the boys came home with a 2 game sweep of the Rockets. The A team won their third straight game, and evened their record to 3-3 with a 43-35 win. A balanced scoring attack led by Austin J.’s 14, and Trey F.'s 9 was the key to the game. The Blue B team improved their record to 4-2 on the season with a come from behind victory, topping the Rockets 40-37. The boys were down 1 with 40 seconds left, and needed a big basket to take the lead. T.J. D. came off a couple of screens to knock down the winning shot. Conner H. turned in a huge performance, finishing with a double-double: 10 points, 15 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots. T.J. D. put in 9, Travaris R. had 6, and Lukas P. and Brett B. each had nifty drives to the basket, and finished with 2 points, respectively.
Have a great day.
