The 8th grade boys Basketball Teams had another successful week, with the A team beating Cambridge, 59-32, and The Blue B team defeating the Bluejackets convincingly as well, on Tuesday afternoon at MSE.

Jackson T. and Josh G. were hot early, scoring the Knights’ first 11 points as the A team jumped out to an early lead. STMA’s defense created offense as they continued to dominate the Bluejackets, and captured a 34-11 halftime lead on Johnny M.s’ triple just before the break. The Knights opened up a huge lead, in part to Austin J.’s 10 second half points. Solid defense off the bench was provided by Matthew W., as he also chipped in 6 points. The win was the A team’s 4th in a row, and pushed their record over .500, at 4-3.

The Blue B team again showed their ongoing improvements, and dominated their game from start to finish, winning big over their visitors. Conner H. owned the paint, on his way to 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots. Travaris R. put in 14, and Michael L. showed off that sweet shooting stroke, finishing with 10. The Blue team now sits at an impressive 5-2 record.

The Teams next play on Thursday Feb. 19th at Big Lake M.S.

Have a great day.
