Good morning. It is Friday, December 8th, it is a day 3.

Congratulations to the Knights Honor winners for this week. They are Timmy L and Grace K. Please come down to the office at this time to claim your prize.

Please register for book club today. The first meeting will be next Monday.

Chess Club starts today. Chess players of all abilities are welcome. Stop in to Mr. Sartori’s room to get a registration form. Registration and $25 are due to Mr. Sartori today.

Attention 5th through 8th grader: This month’s Stress Buster is coloring for relaxation! We will meet in the cafeteria on Wednesday, December 13th during Academic Seminar. If you are interested in participating ask your KORT teacher to sign you up. The first 40 students to sign up will be able to participate in the activity. Please talk to Mrs. Knudson, Mrs. Buskey, or Mrs. Mesna if you have questions!

Attention all 5-8th graders who love to create posters for the chance to win money!The St. Michael Lions are putting on their annual Drug Awareness Poster competition. Create a poster with an anti-drug theme for your chance to win a cash prize!If you are interested, You will need to pick up poster board from Ms. Stairs. Posters are due back to Ms. Stairs by next Wednesday.

A gold necklace with a pink stone and a silver ring with a clear stone was found in the atrium. A purple cat on a black clip was found outside. A pair of black and green glasses were found in Ms. Autio's class. Please claim these items in the office.

The 8th grade girls’ basketball A team defeated North Branch on Thursday with a commanding win. The Knights jumped the lead with a 15-0 run to start the game. They followed with excellent team play, getting everyone in the books by the end of the game, adjusting to both man and zone defense. The Gold B team improved to 4 and 1 on the season with a thrilling one point victory. Peyton L banked home a 17 foot shot which proved to be the winner after the defense got a stop to seal it. Lynzie M led the way with 15 points.

The 7th grade girls’ B basketball team had an outstanding come from behind victory over North Branch 25-22 last night after trailing 16-7 half way through the second half. A late 3 point attempt by North Branch missed and the team hung on for the win.
