Summer School 2014

Students failing one or two courses for the 2013-14 school year may be required to attend summer school to make-up credits. Formal requests for summer school attendance will be made after final grading. Our summer school program is taught by middle school teachers and focuses on necessary skills for promotion to the next grade level.

Students failing Math may be placed into summer Math Academy at Middle School East in place of summer school as credit recovery. Both programs run from July 28th – August 14th, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Families will be notified as to which program their child will be required to attend during early June.

No Shots No School Initiative

Posted on: August 14, 2014

The goal of the No Shots No School initiative is to have all children immunized on the first day of school.  If you do not have a health care provider, you cannot get an appointment with your healthcare provider before school starts or you do not have insurance; you can make an immunization-only appointment with one of the participating clinics (in most cases, on the day you call).  Your child can receive the required immunizations without a physician visit or preventive care exam and without direct charge to you.  If you have insurance and your insurance covers immunizations, the clinic will bill your insurance.  If you do not have insurance or your insurance does not cover immunizations, there will be no charge.  To utilize this service call Julie Winkelman, School Nurse, at 763-497-6520 (you need to bring a form signed by the School Nurse to the clinic).
