The girls' "B" soccer team ended the season undefeated after their win against North Branch last night. All of the girls played well, especially Emma T. who faced several tough shots and walked away with a shutout! Josie V. got the first goal and Emma W. (assisted by Lukanu B.) scored the last goal of the 2 to 0 win. Everyone played well and supported one another! It was a great game to watch.

In their last game of the season, the East Gold B team went out on top, by taking down cross-town rivals West 18-8. The kids came out flying by making multiple stops on defense. East was able to score twice in the second quarter to gain control of the game. The first score came on a long Colin M. pass completion to Mason V.   Jarrett F. found Grayson F. for another passing touchdown as time expired in the first half. East came out a little flat in the third quarter by giving up a safety and a West TD. However, they picked it back up in the fourth by making multiple tackles for losses, highlighted by Nick L. and Hugo P. sacks. Mason V. put the icing on the cake late in the 4th quarter by taking a QB keeper in for a touchdown.   Over the course of the season the team made strides each and every day to become better football players. They never gave up on themselves when the going got tough and stayed humble when they were having success.

The girls' soccer teams walked away with two wins against STMA West last night. The B team started off the night with great defense and phenomenal goal tending by Emma T. Paige K got the one goal for the evening. Everyone worked hard and it was a great match to watch. The A team won 2 to 0 with Janelle S getting the first goal. Ashlyn H recorded the shutout and played incredibly well. All of the girls on both A and B have done well and have worked hard to stay undefeated throughout the entire season.

The 8th grade B football team defeated Monticello 28-8 last night. Monti brought back the opening kickoff for a score. The Knights were in control after that, scoring 28 unanswered points. Many players made contributions in this game. A fun highlight in this game was Riley N rumbling in for two 2 point conversion runs. Jack D and Will S each carried the ball for first time all season. Sam F made some nice yards with some determined running. It was a team effort with many boys making contributions in the win.

The A team lost a tough one 46-22. The offensive line, including Aidan L, Levi H, Evan F, Ethan Y, Xavier P, Sawyer F, and Alex M paved the way for the running game resulting in touchdowns by Drew E, Jake S, and Brooks O.

The 8th grade girls B volleyball team had a great night and defeated North Branch 3-0. Great defense and an aggressive offense was the key. Alexis M had some great attacks at the net. Morgan P played great defense and Hilary B was again a star at serving. The A team faced a very good North Branch team and came up short going 1-2. Serving led the way with great net play by Allie C. Tali C served very well, but in the end, North Branch was too much for the lady Knights.

Have a great day.
