Good morning.  It is Wednesday, March 29th, it is a day 3.

Attention all 7th and 8th grade students, your last activity is this Friday at Middle School East!  The cost is $5, or $4 if you bring an item for the food shelf.  There will be Bingo, Dance, Open Gym, Open Swim, Concessions, and a 4 person hungry hippo chow down challenge! Hope to see you there!

Our school is having an Earth Day T-Shirt Design Contest! See your KORT teacher for entry forms. The contest ends tomorrow.

Attention all girls interested in trying out for one of Community Ed’s Competitive Cheer teams for 8th grade girls interested in cheering at the high school next fall on the sidelines:There will be an informational meeting next Tuesday night at 6:00 in the cafeteria at Wes for the middle school team and 7pm for the JV/varsity teams.Tryouts will take place the week of April 17th for JV and Varsity and the week of April 24th for Middle School.  Informational packets are available in the Office.

Earring found.  Please claim in the office.

Last Friday we recognized all those who met their AR goal and had prizes for many of you.  Congratulations to all of you who met your reading goal.  Keep it up for the last Trimester.  We are super excited to announce the names of the individuals and classes that earned the most points in Second Trimester.  The 10 individuals earned between 189.5 and 398.7points.  These students are great reading role models for our building.  If you see them be sure to congratulate them.  They are:  Audrey K., Caityln S., Brianna S., Marie M., Adalyn P., Margot B., Mackenzie B., Sidney L., Madi D., and Eryn P.  Please come to the media center for your prize and a picture.We also would like to recognize classes that earned the most points for the Trimester.  Mrs. Pendill’s class read the most again this trimester earning 1177 points followed by Mr. Payne, Mrs. Paulson, Mr. Bartholow, Mrs. Dolan, Mr. Jensen, Mrs. Pack, Mr. Liver’s and Mr. Mashwig’s KORT.  Congratulations again to all and keep on reading.

Announcements - Monday, March 27

Good morning.  It is Monday, March 27th, it is a day 1.

Congratulations to Middle School Easts Destination Imagination team who competed this weekend in Blaine.  Although we had some last minute changes with team members and roles, we finished fifth place in the main challenge category and FIRST place in the instant challenge category scoring a PERFECT 100!  This is the highest STMA has ever finished in the instant challenge category.  Congrats guys on a strong finish and a fun year.  We will be having a pizza party to celebrate the season on THURSDAY.

Any middle school girls soccer player interested in summer training with the high school soccer program should pick up a flyer in the office

7th & 8th grade spring sports begin today.  Your teachers were given a list of all the students registered for a spring sport as of 7:40 this morning.  Check to see if you are on the list.  If you are not and you want to play a spring sport, contact your mom or dad and have them register you through their Fee Pay account by 2:00 today.
