The 8th grade softball teams travelled all the way to North Branch Thursday to find a dry field to play a game on.  The B team fell behind, came back to take the lead, and then ultimately lost a close game 7-5.  The A Team played an exciting game, winning 11-4.

The girls and boys competed in the Cambridge-Isanti golf meet at Sanbrook Golf Course last night.  Despite the cold and windy conditions, the teams played very well with the boys winning over the Bluejackets by a score of 168-178 and the girls posting a solid 208 score.  The Cambridge-Isanti girls’ team did not have enough participants to qualify a team score.  On the boy’s side of scoring, Dylan B. was the meet medalist, shooting an impressive low score of 37.  He was followed by Landon S. with a 41, Jack W. with a 44, and Jonathan M. and Ian B. both carding a 46.  Good job boys!  The girls were very consistent in their scoring, led by Paige C. shooting the medalist score of 50, followed closely by Brooke B. with a 51, Maisie T. a 53, Erin V. and Emma A. 54’s, and Emma O. coming in with a 55.  Congratulations to both teams as they moved the season record to 2-0 in dual meets.

Last night the 7th grade STMA blue team had a win against North Branch, 14-11. The B team was able to play a six inning game that started a little rough but then pulled off a great win. Reagan S. had an awesome double.  Later Reagan and Justyss B. pulled off an awesome double play with Justyss catching a fly ball and quick thinking flipped in to Reagan on second. Great job girls! 7th Grade softball has practice tonight till 4:30.

Have a great day.
