Good morning.  It is Tuesday, September 30th.  It is a day 3. 

There will be an organizational meeting for all girls grades 7 & 8 interested in going out for school basketball this winter.  That meeting will be this Friday after school in the cafeteria.

A set of keys were found on the soccer field.  Please claim in the office.

The next varsity events you can attend for free with your pink Knights United against Cancer t-shirt are tonight at the cross country invitational (run down cancer) at the St. Michael Rec Center and then that night when the varsity volleyball team takes on the #1 ranked class A school, Faribault Bethlehem Academy (dig pink)

5th and 6th grade boys interested in wrestling should stop in the office and pick up a registration flyer.

After losing to Monticello in their first meeting, the girls’ soccer A team battled to a 3-3 tie in their rematch.  The girls led 2-1 at the half as Abby R. scored a goal.  However, the lead disappeared as Monticello took a 3-2 lead late in the second half.  But with only 13 seconds left in the match, Kristina H. was able to tie it up with an amazing goal.  The B team remained undefeated with a 1-0 win. 

Congratulations to the 7th grade A and B VB teams on their wins over Chisago Lakes last night!

Boys soccer won the Agame 5-0 last night at Princeton.  Nathan N. had his 1st goal of the season and Payton T. and Alex A. also scored.  The B team lost 4-2.  Ben L. scored a goal for the Knights.

7th and 8th grade swimmers and divers defeated both Buffalo and Foley last night to place first in their tri-meet at Buffalo.  7th grader Grace D. took first place in the 50 yard butterfly, while 7th grader Indigo R. took first place in the 100 yard freestyle.  8th grader Stella L. swam the 300 yard freestyle and took first place, out-swimming the second place finisher by over 20 seconds!  8th grader Erika J. had a great race last night-she swam her personal best in the 50 yard freestyle and placed first in her heat.  7th grader Phoebe H. swam in a 200 yard freestyle relay that took 2nd place in its heat.  We also some great dives from 7th grader Maddie G. and 8th grader Abby W.-Maddie took 3rd place in the diving competition.  Great job last night swimmers!!

8th grade volleyball team is home tonight against West at 3:45.  A and B matches will be played at the same time.

Good morning.  It is Monday, September 29th.  It is a day 2. 

Congratulations to the Knights’ Honor winners for LAST week, they are:  Eli P. and Mason B.  Please come down to the office at this time to claim your prize.

The 7th Grade East Football team beat Princeton 22-0 last Thursday. Ty S. led the Knights offensively. Ben F. also completed a 35 yard pass to Keagan M. to help the offense. Sean K. had some nice runs to help run out the clock at the end of the game. Leo P. was opening holes in the line all night and also shutting down Princeton’s running game.

Last week the 7th grade A volleyball team won both matches they played.  They beat Monticello in six straight games.  The Knights had great all around play and effort by everyone.  Buffalo was a tougher match, but the lady knights came out on top beating Buffalo 4 games to 2.  Great defense was key as the Bison has some very good players.  Nice job ladies and good luck with the rest of your season.

Great job the Middle School Tennis team in tying Cambridge-Isanti last Thursday!  The team needed the help of Tiffany B., Mary M., and Sydney A. in singles for the tie.

The 7th grade B Team roasted the Bison last night Blue and Gold won all six matches !! Knight Power!!!

The 8th Grade B Football Team won another game yesterday beating Princeton 30 - 8.Mike V. led the way with several nice runs, Hunter G. had two nice catches, and Cameron W. demonstrated superb leadership as Quarterback.  After playing a key role on offense and defense in the B game, Jared M. filled in admirably for the A Team's sick center.  The A team moved the ball well, but failed to punch it into the end zone, falling 24 - 0.

The girls soccer teams took both games from Becker last night.  The A team received a great team effort as they won 2-0.  Malia C. scored a goal.  They built an early lead and held on to win as the defense led by Ally H. kept Becker scoreless.  The B team won yet again as they beat Becker 2-1 in a great game.  Great job ladies!

The boys soccer B team tied Cambridge last night 4-4.  Josh L. got them going with two early goals.  Gabe H. scored to make it 4-2.  Unfortunately STMA couldn’t hold off the Cambridge come back and the game ended in a tie.  Noah N. had some good saves in goal including an outstanding penalty kick save.  The A team won their game 9-0.  The Knights played well from start to finish.  Alex A. scored two goals.

The Cross Country Teams had great showings again yesterday at the Buffalo meet. The boys finished second out of ten teams. Running strong for the Knights was Tommy H. who finished 20th overall. Mitch R. and Jeffrey M. also turned in strong performances.   The girls continued their dominance taking first out of eight teams. Makenzie B. finished 5th, Mia R. got 7th, Anna F. got 14th, Katie B. got 15th, Chloe J. got 18th, and Claire P. got 21st!
