MCA Prep Registration

Still accepting students for MCA prep sessions! We have extended the deadline for MCA prep registration until the end of March. Please know that your student is still more than welcome to turn in their registration slip to the office. Thank you!

Congratulations!

Congratulations!

Shelly Santrizos and Blair Huggins

Shelly Santrizos, Special Education Paraprofessional, was honored among 105 Educational Support Staff who were recognized in September.

Blair Huggins, 7th Grade History teacher, was recognized as one of 152 Minnesota educators to be presented with the Leadership in Educational Excellence Award (L.E.E.A.) in October.

Thank you, Shelly and Blair, for your passion and commitment to our students at Middle School East!

STMA Legislative Action

Similar children in similar school districts throughout Minnesota receive vastly different sums of per pupil revenue based on where their parents choose to live.

STMA ranks 326 out of 330 Minnesota school districts in general education revenue per pupil. STMA receives $1,045 less in total revenue per pupil compared to the state average. Our state’s current policy for funding public education is grossly inequitable, irrational, and inexplicable.

Watch the video to learn more and see how you can help to ensure that all Minnesota students have the same educational opportunities.

The School Board and district administration thank the students and staff who participated in editing and putting together the video.
