Good morning.  It is Wednesday, September 28th, it is a day 2.  It is kids and teachers switch day.

Attention all 8th grade students!Next Monday during KORT, we will have our Kick Off to College Talks.  College Talks is an opportunity for YOU to come down to the Media Center to hear from different STMA MSE Staff talk about the college experiences! Plus, there will be TONS of cool prizes that will be given away!On Monday, Mrs. Burton, Language Arts teacher and Ms. Poirier, Art Teacher will be talking about their college experiences at St. Cloud State University!If you are interested in attending, please listen for an announcement after attendance in KORT on Monday and come on down to the Media Center!

Attention Yearbook Staff! Please check the list outside of Mrs. Kelm’s room in the 7th grade pod OR go to the yearbook website to see if you’re on staff. Our first meeting date/time is also posted on the list.

There will be an organizational meeting for all 7th & 8th grade girls interested in playing school basketball this year.  The meeting will be right after school on October 7th in the cafeteria.

Stop by the front office to pick up an order form for Knights superfan t-shirts. These shirts are for parents, students, family, and any other community members to wear to any St. Michael Albertville events. Order forms are due next Monday, so stop by and pick yours up today!

Attention all photographers!  Middle School East will be having the fourth annual Nature Photo Contest.  Submit your photos anytime the next few weeks, chose your favorite photo to submit by November 4.   Turn in your photo to Mr. Livers, Ms. Karst, Mrs. Lindquist, or Mrs. Swanson.  Prizes will be awarded to the top three photos.  Good Luck! 

Students interested in boys travel basketball or weightlifting should pick up a flyer in the office.

Congratulations to the 7th grade A and B volleyball teams on their wins over Monticello and St. Francis this week!

The boys’soccer A team defeated Delano 6-3 last night.  Goals were scored by Andrew B., Carsen O., Joe S., Adam K., and Gage T.. The B team lost 5-0 in a cold rainy game.

The 8th grade volleyball teams continue to roll.  The B team took all three sets with a huge come from behind win in the second set.  Maycee J. had some great hustle plays and also helped her teammates get to the right spot.  Rachel J. also had some big plays and was also an incredible leader encouraging her teammates to do their best.  The A team played their best match of the season.  They took all three sets from St. Francis with dominating play.  Jordan M. had some great passing and some timely kills.  Sydney B. put some beautiful sets to help her teammates attack the ball.

The 8th grade A football team lost to Monticello Tuesday 38-6.  The B-Blue picked up a nice win over Monticello 32-0.  Tyler B. showed pin point accuracy on his throws.  Luke B., Isaiah M., and Aaron L. made catches that resulted in points or first downs.  A variety of running backs churned out yards including Brian M. and Brode M.  Nam L.  played a strong game from his defensive end position.  Jorien W. made a highlight play causing a fumble and nearly scooping it up for a touchdown.  It was a great game with crisp play and energy displayed by the boys from STMA. 

The girls’ soccer team kept their season rolling last night by sweeping Becker.  The B team continued to dominate by winning 4-1.  Janelle S. led the offensive attack with two goals while Ashley O. continued to impress on defense.  The A team won by an 8-0 score.  Chloe F. led the offense with three goals while Ellsie C. and Adalyn P. continued to play great defense to earn the shutout.

Don’t forget that tomorrow is Disney/Movie Character Day.

Good morning.  It is Tuesday, September 27th, it is a day 1.  It is super hero day.

Any 7th or 8th graders interested in being part of the high school debate team should attend an informational meeting tonight at the high school at 7:00.  Practices begin Thursday at 3:30.  For more information, contact Coach Doug Birk.

The 5th Grade Responsive Hour students in Art Relates MN will be showcasing their robots, collages and writings all regarding found objects and art.  Please take a look in the Responsive Hour Lab/ Art Gallery if/ when you get a chance.  It is open during the day, but students will be operating their machines during 6th hour today!  Please take a look, but do not touch the art.  Art will be up for the entire week with action 6th hour today.

The Middle School Girls Swim and Dive Team won their meet last night in Buffalo.  They had many great swims! Ayva C. really improved and had great swims, along with Mya F.  So many girls cut time: Becca K., Eryn P., Ayva C., Autumn R., Maddies V., Claire S., and Abbylee M.   Olivia N. and Lily N. cut time in two events.  Eryn P. got first in 2oo free, Lily N. was first st in 100 breaststroke, Olivia N. was first in 100 IM and 100 back. The medley relay team of Olivia N., Lily N. and Lily R. got first  The 200 free Relay team of Abbylee M. and Eryn P. got first.

The 8th grade volleyball teams won again.  The B team took four out of the six sets.  Taylor H. led the team with great hustle plays and serving.  Mya V. was a great teammate.  She hustled around the court and was very encouraging to her teammates.  The A team took all six sets.  Haley P. showed great all-around play and terrific effort.  Morgan L. had some great service runs and passes from the back row.

The girls’ soccer team completed a sweep of Princeton last night.  The B team won by a score of 5-0.  Chelsey G. scored a great goal while Maria R. played great defense.  Hannah H. continued to dominate in goal as she recorded her 4th straight shutout.  The A team scored early and often and won by a score of 9-1 Liana C. played amazing defense once again and was also able to keep her eye on the soccer ball throughout the entire game. Great job ladies!!

Girls’ soccer team is at the Becker City Ball Complex today.  Bus leaves at 3:20.  A game is first.

Boys’ soccer team is at the Delano Soccer Complex tonight.  Dismissal from class is at 2:55.  A game is first.

7th grade football team is at Monticello Middle School tonight.  Bus leaves at 3:20.  A and B games played at the same time.

Girls’ tennis team is home tonight against Buffalo at 4:00.

8th grade football team is home tonight against Monticello at 3:45.  A game is first.

7th & 8th grade volleyball teams are home tonight against St. Francis at 4:00.  A matches are first.

Good morning. It is Monday, September 26th, it is a day 3. It is pajama day.

Congratulations to our first Knights Honor winners: They are Leyla C. and Bennett E. Please come down to the office at this time to claim your prize.

There are a lot of water bottles and lunch bags in the lost and found in front of the office. Please check if you are missing any items.

Select Choir auditions for all 7th and 8th grade choir students begin today.

The Boys B soccer team got their first win last Thursday, shutting out Princeton 1-0. James C. scored the winning goal on a great pass from Nathan T. The Knights played great defense and showed tremendous effort throughout the game. The A team got off to a 2-0 lead. Adam K. scored one of the goals. Princeton came back with 2 goals of their own in the second half. The Knights had several great opportunities to score the third goal, but Princeton’s goalie and defense came up big each time. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.

8th grade volleyball team is at Monticello Middle School tonight. A and B matches played at the same time. Bus leaves at 3:20.
