Graduation will be June 2, 2017.
Graduation Ceremony, June 2nd, 7:00 PM in the high school gymnasium. The ceremony will last approximately one hour. Seniors must have completed all 55 credits required for graduation in order to participate in the commencement ceremony. Participation in the commencement ceremony is a privilege, not a right. Students must be in good standing upon completion of the school year in order to participate in the commencement ceremony. This year, each senior will receive five tickets for the commencement ceremony. Due to the larger graduating class and limited gym space, we are continuing this policy to ensure that close family and friends will be able to attend this event in comfort. Tickets will be distributed with their cap and gown in mid-May. For additional space and convenience, we will be providing a live telecast of the graduation ceremony in the Performing Arts Center and tickets will not be required.

Distribution of Cap/Gown/Tickets
Cap & gowns, as well as tickets to graduation, will be distributed during lunch on May 16th. After May 16th, these items will be available in the main office. Items are only available after this date.
Graduation is a formal event at STMA and graduates are expected to be dressed appropriately for commencement. Boys are asked to wear a dress shirt (tie optional), dress pants and dress shoes with their gown. Girls are asked to wear a dress, skirt or pants accompanied with dress shoes. No sunglasses or beach flip-flops allowed. Also, please do not decorate the top of the graduation cap.
Seniors who participate in the STMA Commencement Ceremony will pay a fee of $25.00. This fee is assessed to pay for the production of the ceremony. As a keepsake, students will be allowed to keep their cap, gown and tassel. (Students have already been fitted for their cap and gown in their homerooms.) To pay for your graduation fee, you can make your payment online using our FeePay system; or, you can drop off a check, payable to STMA High School, at the front office. Please make your payment by March 31st.

On Friday, June 2nd, at 9:45 AM, there will be a mandatory graduation rehearsal in the high school gymnasium. All seniors are expected to participate in this rehearsal to ensure a well prepared ceremony that evening. As outlined in the student handbook, “Participation in the commencement ceremony is a privilege, not a right. Students must be in good standing upon completion of the school year to participate in the commencement ceremony.”
If your student’s lunchaccount balance is in the negative please make sure you have your account paid up before graduation.
If on the last day of school your senior still has a balance in their lunch account, they can take care of it during their lunch period on the last day in one of the following ways:
1. If you have more than one student in the district your senior can request funds to be transferred from their account to a sibling.
2. If your student has $10 or less in their lunch account on the last day of school they can request a cash refund during their lunch period.
3. If your student has more than $10.00 in their lunch account they can request a refund check (these will be mailed out this summer).
4. You can donate your balance to our Angel fund. The Angel Fund has been set up to help families purchase lunches when the need arises. Please contact Kimberly Ronning if you would like your senior’s lunch account balance be donated to the angel fund.
If you have any questions in regard to your student’s lunch account please call Kimberly Ronning at 763-497-3180 ext. 94370 or email Kimberly at Kimberlyr@stma.k12.mn.us

Senior Class Picture
On Friday, September 23rd at 9:45 AM, we will be taking the senior picture in front of the high school. As a PSEO student we understand that you may have a conflict that interferes with this specific time. As much as we can, we try to accommodate all students. Over the past few years, we have found that this time works best for the majority of students. Also, to find out more information about school events and announcements, please visit our website and click on Daily Announcements or our Senior Information – Graduation tab. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Driver at email@example.com.
