Minnesota Reading & Math Corp Positions

Get trained and see real growth: Tutor with Minnesota Reading Corps or Math Corps.

Tutors are needed to help children and youth succeed in school by giving them the extra support they need to read and do math. Minnesota Reading Corps—the nation’s largest state AmeriCorps program—and Minnesota Math Corps train tutors to implement research-based strategies and directly impact 30,000 students in schools across Minnesota.

We are looking to place more than 1,000 tutors in schools across Minnesota to commit a year of service and change the world of struggling students. Further your career by growing your professional network and new skills and get kids up to grade level in reading by the end of third grade or in math by the end of eighth grade. As a tutor, you will receive a living allowance of about $526 (full-time), an education award of up to $5,645 to further your education, and other benefits if eligible. (Tutors who are 55 or older may choose to transfer their education award to a child, grandchild or foster child.)

Whether you’re just starting an education career or you have years of experience, we hope you’ll join us for a year of growth. Apply today to become a tutor! Go to www.MinnesotaReadingCorps.org or www.MinnesotaMathCorps.org. Send questions to recruitment@servemnaction.org.

One year. This year. Serve to grow.
