The last night of East 7th grade football did not go as planned as the BLUE B team lost 16-0 to Buffalo on October 17th. The team could not get much going on offense as turnovers proved costly. The few bright spots we had were Evan O. with a long run. William T. had a couple tough runs for first downs. Charlie W. had the play of the day on defense by taking the football right out of a Buffalo player’s hands. The team worked hard every day and improved on their football skills as the season went on.

Jarrett F. found Grayson F.for another passing touchdown as time expired in the first half. East came out a little flat in the 3rd quarter by giving up a safety and a West TD. However, they picked it back up in the 4th by making multiple tackles for losses, highlighted by Nick L. and Hugo P. sacks. Mason V. put the icing on the cake late in the 4th quarter by taking a QB keeper in for a touchdown. Over the course of the season the team made strides each and every day to become better football players. They never gave up on themselves when the going got tough and stayed humble when they were having success.

The 7th grade Blue B football team ran into a tough Becker squad on October 5th and lost. Andrew F. had The Knights’ lone touchdown on a perfectly executed counter. Owen H. also had two big gains, one via a kick return and the other on a run.

The 7th grade A football team lost to Cambridge 14 – 0. The Knights were able to move the ball effectively all night, but small mistakes stopped many drives. Rainer M. Jaxon C. and Karson R. led the Knights running the football highlighted by Karson’s 32 yard run, dragging Cambridge players with him for a majority of that run.
